ITU School of Textile Technologies and Design is one of the ITU schools in Gumussuyu campus. It is the first and the single one offering textile engineering education in Istanbul, and also comes first among the top textile engineering schools in Turkey. [2] Its history could be traced back to 1955. There are three undergraduate programs under Textile Engineering Department: [3]

Bahçeşehir University

Bahçeşehir University (BAU) is a private educational institution in Turkey, located at the European side of Istanbul. The Turkish National Assembly authorized the establishment of the University of Bahçeşehir by the Bahçeşehir Uğur Education Foundation in 1998. An academic and strategic protocol was signed shortly after with San Diego State University in California, USA. The ITU School of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering was founded as an individual department in School of Mechanical Engineering in 1943. It was reorganized in 1971 as a separate school. Faculty has its own library in addition to Mustafa Inan Library.

ITU School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, founded in 1983, is the 11th school of Istanbul Technical University. Three departments were engaged to the faculty, which are Aeronautical Engineering, Astronautical engineering, and Meteorological Engineering. Aeronautical Engineering Department was established as a branch training aeronautical engineers in the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in 1941, and then in 1944 became a department of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty. Meteorological Engineering Department was established in 1953 in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. It is the only Meteorological Engineering department in Turkey.

ITU School of Mines, located in Maslak campus, is one of the faculties in Istanbul Technical University, which has five departments. As of 2013, the dean is Prof. Dr. Fatma Arslan. Among the notable faculty of the ITU School of Mines are Galip Sağıroğlu, İhsan Ketin, Aykut Barka, Celal Şengör and Kazım Ergin.

ITU Maritime Faculty is a faculty of the Istanbul Technical University in Turkey, which is dedicated to maritime science and technology.

İzmir University was a university in the Üçkuyular neighborhood of Karabağlar, a metropolitan district of İzmir, Turkey. It was established in 2007 by the Doğanata Education and Culture Foundation, which opened in 2008. On 23 July 2016, in the course of the 2016 Turkish purges, the university was closed by the Turkish government due to its alleged ties with the Gülen movement. The staff of the university rejected the accusations.
