"I Maschi" (Italian "the males") is a song composed by Gianna Nannini and Fabio Pianigiani and performed by Gianna Nannini. The single peaked at second place on the Italian hit parade. [1] It was also an international hit, which charted in Austria, France, Germany, Belgium and Sweden. The song represented Italy at the 18th World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo. [2] It was the title-track of the compilation album Maschi e Altri . [2]

The song was included in the soundtracks of several films, including the Maren Ade's drama Everyone Else and the Mika Kaurismäki's gangster-comedy Helsinki Napoli All Night Long .

The song was a summer hit of 1997 in Europe and became Alexia's international breakout success. It reached number-one in Italy and Spain, number two in Finland and was a Top 10 hit also in Austria, Ireland, Scotland, Sweden and the UK. The first single from the album, "Fotoromanza", was a summer hit and went on to win the Festivalbar, Vota la Voce and a Gold Telegatto Award. The music video was directed by Michelangelo Antonioni. The album went platinum in Italy, with "Fotoromanza" topping the charts in Italy, Switzerland and Austria. The European tour to promote the album culminated with a handful of very successful dates in Berlin, at the Montreaux Jazz Festival and in Cologne, resulted in the album Tutto Live (1985).

Maschi e Altri is the ninth album by Gianna Nannini. It is her first compilation album, and it was released in 1987 in South America, South Korea, Israel, South Africa and Australia. It includes some of her most successful singles, including "Profumo", "I Maschi" and "Avventura" .
Nannini did not tour to promote the album but she took part in a concert at the Schauspielhaus in Hamburg on May 1, 1987, where she performed a selection of songs by Bertoldt Brecht and Kurt Weill alongside Sting and Jack Bruce.

Perle is the eighteenth album released by Gianna Nannini in 2004. It reached number 6 on the Italian album chart and number 22 on the album chart in Switzerland.

"Un'estate italiana", "Un verano italiano" or "To be number one" (English), is a 1990 song composed by Giorgio Moroder with lyrics by Tom Whitlock for the 1990 FIFA World Cup held in Italy. The Italian version, also known as "Notti magiche" in Italy, was recorded by Italian artists Edoardo Bennato and Gianna Nannini, who also wrote the Italian lyrics. The Spanish version, also known as "Noches mágicas" in Spanish, was recorded by Paraguayan Susan Ferrer, who also wrote the Spanish lyrics.

"Meravigliosa creatura" is a song by Italian rock vocalist Gianna Nannini, written by Mara Redeghieri, vocalist at Ustmamò. The single was simultaneously on air at different radio networks on 1 January 1995, one minute after midnight, and it anticipates the release of the album Dispetto, expected on 13 February of the same year in all Europe.
