Qalay-I-Zal District, also spelled Qala-i-Zal, is situated in the western part of Kunduz Province, northern Afghanistan. He landed safely in Kazakhstan, on 3 October 2019 aboard Soyuz MS-12 completing the United Arab Emirates first astronaut mission.
