Injil (Enjil, Dari : انجیل) is a village and the center of the Injil District in Herat Province, Afghanistan. It is located at at 950m altitude a few miles southeast of Herat.
The Hari River or Herat River is a river flowing 1,100 kilometres (680 mi) from the mountains of central Afghanistan to Turkmenistan, where it forms the Tejend oasis and disappears in the Karakum Desert.

To the south is Pashtun Zarghun District and Injil District is situated to the west. The population is 62,000. The district center is the town of Karukh.
