The Italian Hockey League - Division I (former Serie C) is the third level of ice hockey in Italy. It is below the Italian Hockey League - Serie A and the Italian Hockey League.

The 2011–12 Serie A season was the 78th season of the Serie A, the top level of ice hockey in Italy. 10 teams participated in the league, and HC Bolzano won the championship by defeating HC Pustertal in the final.

The 2012–13 Serie A season was the 79th season of the Serie A, the top level of ice hockey in Italy. 10 teams participated in the league, and Asiago Hockey won the championship. SG Pontebba was relegated to the Serie A2.

The Alps Hockey League (AlpsHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in Central Europe. The league is made up of teams from Austria, Croatia, Italy and Slovenia. It was established in 2016 as a result of a merger between Serie A and the Inter-National League.

The 2014–15 Serie A season was the 81st season of the Serie A, the top level of ice hockey in Italy. 12 teams participated in the league, and Asiago Hockey won the championship. Ritten Sport won the League Cup.

The 2015–16 Serie A season was the 82nd season of the Serie A, the top level of ice hockey in Italy. 8 teams participated in the league, and Asiago Hockey won the championship. Ritten Sport won the League Cup.

The 2016–17 Serie A season was the 83rd, and final season of the Serie A, the top level of ice hockey in Italy. 16 teams participated in the league, and Ritten Sport won the championship. Hockey Milano Rossoblu won the League Cup. After this season the Serie A was folded, and merged into multi-nation league called the Alps Hockey League.

The 2021–22 Italian Hockey League - Serie A was the 88th season of the Serie A, the top level of ice hockey in Italy. 7 teams participated in the league, and Asiago Hockey won the championship.
