Jesús del Pozo (born 21 December 1946, Madrid, Spain – died 13 August 2011, Madrid) was a Spanish fashion designer.Del Pozo was the recipient of numerous professional awards during his career.
Spain, officially the Kingdom of Spain, is a country mostly located in Europe. Its continental European territory is situated on the Iberian Peninsula. In 1974 he opened his first men’s fashion store and in 1976 he presented his first men’s collection at the SEHM in Paris. From 1980 onward he presented his women’s prêt-à-porter collections at the Cibeles fashion show in Madrid. In 1989 he showed at the Fashion Foundation in Tokyo, and in 1990 at La Cour Carrée at the Louvre in Paris.

Tokyo, officially Tokyo Metropolis, one of the 47 prefectures of Japan, has served as the Japanese capital since 1869. As of 2018, the Greater Tokyo Area ranked as the most populous metropolitan area in the world. The urban area houses the seat of the Emperor of Japan, of the Japanese government and of the National Diet. Tokyo forms part of the Kantō region on the southeastern side of Japan's main island, Honshu, and includes the Izu Islands and Ogasawara Islands. Tokyo was formerly named Edo when Shōgun Tokugawa Ieyasu made the city his headquarters in 1603. It became the capital after Emperor Meiji moved his seat to the city from Kyoto in 1868; at that time Edo was renamed Tokyo. The Tokyo Metropolis formed in 1943 from the merger of the former Tokyo Prefecture and the city of Tokyo. Tokyo is often referred to as a city but is officially known and governed as a "metropolitan prefecture", which differs from and combines elements of a city and a prefecture, a characteristic unique to Tokyo.
The Louvre, or the Louvre Museum, is the world's largest art museum and a historic monument in Paris, France. A central landmark of the city, it is located on the Right Bank of the Seine in the city's 1st arrondissement. Approximately 38,000 objects from prehistory to the 21st century are exhibited over an area of 72,735 square metres. In 2018, the Louvre was the world's most visited art museum, receiving 10.2 million visitors.
In 1992, Jesús del Pozo entered the world of perfume with «Duende», his first feminine fragrance, followed by «Quasar» (1994), «Esencia de Duende» (1996), «Halloween» (1997), «Quasar Adventure» (1999), «J. del Pozo In Black» (2005), «Halloween kiss» (2008) and «Ámbar» (2010). At the same time, between 1992 and 1994, he created lingerie, jewellery and scarf collections. At the end of 1996 he presented «Moda Barcelona», his first bridal prêt-à-porter collection. The same year he began to industrially produce his women’s prêt-à-porter collections. In 1997 he launched a new brand, «J.D.P.», in Japan, together with Daimaru Inc, with a presence in five department stores.
He designed uniforms like those worn by staff at the Spanish pavilion in the Seville Universal Exposition in 1992, as well as costumes for theatre, ballet and cinematic opera. Special mention should be given to his work as costume designer of Bizet’s Carmen (Madrid Royal Theatre, 1998–1999); the zarzuela El juramento (Zarzuela Theatre, 2000), and the opera Farnace , by Vivaldi, for which he also did the set design.

Carmen[kaʁ.mɛn] is an opera in four acts by French composer Georges Bizet. The libretto was written by Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy, based on a novella of the same title by Prosper Mérimée. The opera was first performed by the Opéra-Comique in Paris on 3 March 1875, where its breaking of conventions shocked and scandalized its first audiences.
Teatro Real or simply El Real, as it is known colloquially, is a major opera house located in Madrid. Founded in 1818 and inaugurated on 19 November 1850, it closed in 1925 and reopened in 1966. Beginning in 1988 it underwent major refurbishing and renovation works and finally reopened in 1997 with a capacity of 1,746 seats. Today the Teatro Real opera is one of the great theaters of Europe hosting large productions involving leading international figures in opera singing, musical direction, stage direction and dance. The theater offers visitors guided tours in several languages, including the auditorium, stage, workshops and rehearsal rooms.
In 1999, he pushed for the creation of the Asociación Creadores de Moda de España, over which he presided until December 2000. 2001 saw the creation of his new line for children «Jesús del Pozo Junior» and the fragrances «On él» and «On ella». In 2002 he presented a new line of tableware designed by him and made by VistaAlegre. The following year he created the Jesús del Pozo Foundation, and from 2004 onwards he organized the «Course for Professional Expertise in Fashion Design: Business Internship»
The Spanish designer Jesús del Pozo founded the fashion company of the same name in 1974. His work and his collections stood out due to their strong personality and the undeniable style of the designer. After four decades in the world of fashion, it is considered to be one of the most renowned and credible Spanish houses on a national level. Following the death of the founder in August 2011, Grupo Perfumes y Diseño acquired the brand. Months after, the fashion company rebranded the label as DELPOZO, hiring Josep Font as its Creative Director. Font stepped down in fall of 2018; Lutz Huelle is the current Creative Director of the label.

He was famous for having designed much of the personal and professional wardrobe of Audrey Hepburn and clothing for Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. He was named to the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame in 1970. His partner was Philippe Venet.
Jean-Paul Gaultier is a French haute couture and prêt-à-porter fashion designer who, in 1982, founded his eponymous fashion label. From 2003 to 2010 he also served as the creative director at French luxury house Hermès for womenswear. He co-presented the television series Eurotrash with Antoine de Caunes.

Federico Moreno Torroba was a Spanish composer, conductor, and theatrical impresario. He is especially remembered for his important contributions to the classical guitar repertoire, becoming one of the leading twentieth-century composers for the instrument. He was also one of the foremost composers of zarzuelas, a form of Spanish light opera. His 1932 zarzuela, Luisa Fernanda, has proved to be enduringly popular. In addition, he composed ballets, symphonic works, and piano pieces, as well as one-act operas and one full-length opera, El poeta, which premiere in 1980, starring well-known tenor Plácido Domingo. Moreno Torroba also ran his own zarzuela company, which toured extensively, especially in Latin America.

Trussardi[trusˈsardi] is an Italian fashion house, founded in 1911. It began as a leather glove manufacturer, and expanded its line to additional leather goods in the 1970s after Nicola Trussardi took over from his uncle. In the 1980s the company started production of ready-to-wear clothing, in addition to products including perfumes and jeans. By the 1990s Trussardi was selling internationally, with its largest markets in Italy and Japan. S by Shakira is the first woman's fragrance by Colombian singer songwriter Shakira. Developing an interest in perfumery and scents, Shakira signed an agreement with international fashion company Puig to create a line of beauty and personal care products. S by Shakira is inspired by the singer's "light" and is an oriental perfume which combines scents of various exotic sources like sambac jasmine, sandalwood, and vanilla. The bottle of the perfume is made of treated glass which reflects light at different angles; it does not have a cap and instead utilises a key-like mechanism to stop the flow of the perfume. Shakira launched S by Shakira at a press release in Madrid, Spain, in June 2010, and it was sent to retail stores in September 2010. Critics praised the scent of S by Shakira, but there was criticism regarding the design of the bottle. It was nominated for a FiFi Award in 2011.

The House of Worth is a French house of high fashion that specializes in haute couture, ready-to-wear clothes, and perfumes. The historic house was founded in 1858 by designer Charles Frederick Worth. It continued to operate under his descendants until 1952 and closed in 1956. The House of Worth brand was revived in 1999.
Rafael José Maria Hernando y Palomar was a Spanish composer of zarzuelas, being that his contributions to the genre lead to the development of the zarzuela grande. His body of work consists of 17 operettas and some religious works. None of his zazuelas has been in the repertoire of today.
