Jewel-Osco is a supermarket chain headquartered in Itasca, Illinois, a Chicago suburb. Jewel-Osco has 187 stores across northern, central, and western Illinois; eastern Iowa; and portions of northwest Indiana. Jewel-Osco and Jewel are currently wholly owned subsidiaries of Boise, Idaho-based Albertsons. The company originally started as a door-to-door coffee delivery service before it expanded into delivering non-perishable groceries and later into grocery stores, and supermarkets. Prior to its 1984 acquisition by American Stores, Jewel evolved into a large multi-state holding company that operated several supermarket chains and other non-food retail chain stores located from coast to coast and had operated under several different brand names.

J.O.B. Records was an American, Chicago based independent record label, founded by businessman Joe Brown and bluesman St. Louis Jimmy Oden in 1949. It specialized in Southern blues and city based R&B. In 1952, the label's recording of "Five Long Years" by Eddie Boyd became a hit and reached number one in the US Billboard R&B chart. In 1953, J.O.B. had a temporary collaboration with Chance Records. The company recorded sparingly until 1972, when it sold its catalogue to Jewel Records. J.O.B.'s last single was released in 1974. J.O.B. Records worldwide rights were acquired by 43 North Broadway, LLC in 2015.
Italians Do It Better is an independent record label based in Portland and Los Angeles. The label was started by Johnny Jewel and Mike Simonetti in 2006 to focus on Jewel's projects Glass Candy and Chromatics and later Desire, Symmetry and Mirage, in addition to other artists from prior releases. Genres from the label have been described as contributing to the synth-pop, post-punk and Italo-disco revivals. They have released two label compilations, 'After Dark' (2007) and 'After Dark 2' (2013), both of which featured music from their roster.

The first of many retail record stores, called Stan's Record Shop, was opened in 1948. Later, Stan Lewis purchased and reissued the catalogues of Cobra Records, Chief Records, USA Records and JOB Records.
