The Jordanian Premier Basketball League is a professional basketball league in Jordan. It is the top league in the country with the second-tier league going by the name of First Division. There are six teams competing in the 2022 league: Al Ahli, Al Riyadi , Orthodox Club, Kufryouba, Jubeha, and Al Ashrafyeh.

They compete in the Jordanian Premier Basketball League and have won six consecutive Jordanian championships in the period 2003 to 2008-09 season. The team has been disbanded in 2010.

Applied Science University was a Jordanian professional basketball club based in Amman, Jordan. The team competed in the Jordanian Premier Basketball League for 7 seasons from 2008 until 2015. In 2009, they finished 2–4 to earn third place in the federation. The team was disbanded in 2015. The team won four Jordanian Championships.


Al Riyadi Aramex Basketball Club is a Jordanian professional basketball club that competes in the Jordanian Premier Basketball League and are based in Amman, Jordan. In the team's inaugural season in 2001–02, they competed in the Jordanian Division II league, winning the championship and the Jordanian Cup, and earned a promotion to the Division I league for the 2002–03 season. Before 2001, Aramex sponsored Al-Jazeera Basketball Club for 13 years. Aramex split with Al-Jazeera and established Al-Riyadi in 2001.

The Qatari Basketball League is the top-tier men's basketball league operating in Qatar. The winning team obtains the participation right to the FIBA Asia Champions Cup. The first official season took place in 1981/82. There is a second division and two domestic cup tournaments, the Emir of Qatar Cup and the Qatar Crown Prince Cup.

Mahmoud Abdeen is a Jordanian professional basketball player for the Jordanian national basketball team and Al-Ahli of the Jordanian Premier Basketball League. He is the MVP of the 2019–20 season, and considered one of the all-star five players of the league.
