Journey is the debut album released by Verity and her band Verity and the Shades.
Journey was the first South African album to be sold before it was even produced. Verity's website featured a method for "future owners" to preorder CDs to fund the production of the album. Over 2000 people in 25 countries bought the album without guarantee of their investment. 10.6% of every sale was given to two South African charities, POWA and the Live Your Dreams Foundation, and by the time the album was recorded over R30,000 had been contributed.
The album was named Journey by Verity's fans and was recorded with award winning producers Paul McIver & Brian O'Shea. It was released in September 2008.

Journey is an American rock band that formed in San Francisco in 1973. At that time it was composed of former members of Santana, namely guitarist Neal Schon, who has remained with the band since its inception, and keyboardist Gregg Rolie, who served as primary lead vocalist for the band's first three albums, and Frumious Bandersnatch, most notably bassist Ross Valory, who was with the band until 1985 and since 1995. In 1978, Steve Perry joined to serve as lead vocalist, and in 1980 Jonathan Cain replaced Rolie as keyboardist, and has remained a constant member since. The band's strongest commercial success occurred between 1978 and 1987 at which time Perry departed.

Verities & Balderdash is the fourth studio album by the American singer/songwriter Harry Chapin, released in 1974.. "Cat's in the Cradle" was Chapin's highest charting single, finishing at #38 for the year on the 1974 Billboard year-end Hot 100 chart. The follow-up single, "I Wanna Learn a Love Song," charted on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart at #44, and Billboard Adult Contemporary at #7. A promotional single, "What Made America Famous?", was released to radio stations as a 45. The album was certified gold on December 17, 1974.
Hedley Verity was a professional cricketer who played for Yorkshire and England between 1930 and 1939. A slow left-arm orthodox bowler, he took 1,956 wickets in first-class cricket at an average of 14.90 and 144 wickets in 40 Tests at an average of 24.37. Named as one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1932, he is regarded as one of the most effective slow left-arm bowlers to have played cricket. Never someone who spun the ball sharply, he achieved success through the accuracy of his bowling. On pitches which made batting difficult, particularly ones affected by rain, he could be almost impossible to bat against.

Argent were an English rock band founded in 1969 by keyboardist Rod Argent, formerly of The Zombies. They had three UK Top 40 singles, "Hold Your Head Up", which reached number five and spent 12 weeks on the chart, "Tragedy" and "God Gave Rock and Roll to You". Two of their albums charted in the UK, All Together Now, which peaked at number 13 in 1972, and In Deep, which spent one week at number 49 in 1973.

Redgum were an Australian folk and political music group formed in Adelaide in 1975 by singer-songwriter John Schumann, Michael Atkinson on guitars/vocals, Verity Truman on flute/vocals; they were later joined by Hugh McDonald on fiddle and Chris Timms on violin. All four had been students at Flinders University and together developed a strong political voice. They are best known for their protest song exploring the impact of war in the 1980s "I Was Only 19", which peaked at No. 1 on the National singles charts. The song is in the Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) list of Top 30 of All Time Best Australian Songs created in 2001.

In 2016 Tumi relaunched himself as Stogie T and released an album called Stogie T which featured Da L.E.S, Lastee, Emtee, Nasty C, Nadia Nakai & Yanga. He has 2 singles from the album. Donald Lawrence is an American gospel music songwriter, record producer and artist. He studied at Cincinnati Conservatory, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in music. While in Cincinnati, he was also the Minister of Music at the Southern Baptist Church on Reading Road. The multiple Grammy and Stellar Award winner has collaborated with a diverse roster, as vocal coach to the R&B group En Vogue, musical director for Stephanie Mills, songwriter for The Clark Sisters, and collaborator with a host of artists including Peabo Bryson, Kirk Franklin, Karen Clark Sheard, Donnie McClurkin, and Mary J. Stephen Dennis Thompson is a British songwriter and record producer who is responsible for a number of single and album chart hits and well known songs recorded by international recording artists. He was instrumental in setting up the influential Neat Records. Keith Lamar Johnson, who goes by the stage name Keith "Wonderboy" Johnson, is an American gospel musician. He has released fourteen albums, over the course of thirteen years, with World Wide Gospel Records, Worldwide Records, Verity Records, Central South Records, and Blacksmoke Records. Tutu Puoane is a South African Jazz singer. She grew up in the township of Mamelodi, Pretoria. By 1997 she had already been performing in Johannesburg downtown. Realizing her passion for singing, Tutu went on to study jazz vocals at the University of Cape Town with Jelena Reveshin and Virginia Davids. She received several awards from major South African jazz competitions. In 2000 she won the old mutual jazz encounters for Cape region and in 2001 she received a merit award for young promising talent at the Daimler Chrysler South African jazz competition.
