Major League Baseball (MLB) is a professional baseball organization, the oldest of the four major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada. A total of 30 teams play in the National League (NL) and American League (AL), with 15 teams in each league. The NL and AL were formed as separate legal entities in 1876 and 1901 respectively. After cooperating but remaining legally separate entities beginning in 1903, the leagues merged into a single organization led by the Commissioner of Baseball in 2000. The organization also oversees Minor League Baseball, which comprises 256 teams affiliated with the Major League clubs. With the World Baseball Softball Confederation, MLB manages the international World Baseball Classic tournament.
The Frisco RoughRiders (often shortened to 'Riders) are a Minor League Baseball team of the Texas League and the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. They are located in Frisco, Texas, and are named for the 1st U.S. Volunteer Cavalry Regiment during the Spanish–American War, headed by future American President Theodore Roosevelt, nicknamed "The Rough Riders" by the American press. They play their home games at Dr Pepper Ballpark which opened in 2003 and seats 10,316 people.
Russell Dale Martin is an American on-air personality in Dallas, Texas. He has worked in the Dallas radio market for 31 years. Martin hosted the No. 1-rated The Russ Martin Show on KLLI Live 105.3 in Dallas, until Dec. 8, 2008, when KLLI switched to an all-sports format. On July 12, 2010, Martin returned to radio with his afternoon (3p-7p) show on 97.1 "The Eagle" (KEGL).
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are a Minor League Baseball team in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. The Pelicans are members of the Carolina League and most recently won the league's championship in 2016. Home games are played at TicketReturn.com Field, which opened in 1999 and seats up to 6,599 fans. From their inaugural season through 2010, the Pelicans were affiliated with the Atlanta Braves, before spending four seasons as a Texas Rangers affiliate from 2011 to 2014. The team's affiliation with the Chicago Cubs began in 2015 and is currently in place through 2022.
KVFW-LD is a low-powered television station licensed to Fort Worth, Texas and owned by New York Spectrum Holding Company, LLC. It is not available on either Charter Communications or Verizon FiOS, as there is no legal requirement for a cable or satellite provider to carry a low-power station or station with insignificant numbers of viewers.
K31GL-D is a low-power digital TV station in the Dallas / Fort Worth area, licensed to serve DeSoto, Texas, owned and operated by HC2 Holdings. It is not available on either Charter Spectrum, or Verizon FiOS at this time, and covers the Dallas/Fort Worth DMA.
KNWS-LP channel 27, is a low-powered television station as an Azteca América affiliate in Brownsville, Texas. This station is owned and operated by HC2 Holdings. KNWS's programming is also seen on KAZH-LP channel 39 and KRZG-CD channel 32 in McAllen, Texas.
KFJZ is an AM radio station broadcasting in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex with a Financial News/Talk format via the BizTalkRadio. This station is licensed in Fort Worth, Texas and is owned and operated by SIGA Broadcasting Corporation. Because it shares the same frequency as "clear channel" station WWL in New Orleans, Louisiana, KFJZ operates only during the Daytime hours. KFJZ is simulcast 24-hours a day on K273CS at 102.5 MHz.
KNIK-LP is a low-power commercial television station in Anchorage, Alaska, broadcasting on VHF channel 6, taking advantage of that station's audio signal on 87.75 MHz FM. The station is one of very few low-power television stations that operate predominantly as a radio station by way of the fact that many FM radio receivers can tune in a VHF channel 6 television audio carrier at 87.75 MHz. This technique is made more potent due to a formerly unforeseen interpretation of deregulatory language in FCC low-power television station regulations:

KVTT is an American radio station licensed to Mineral Wells, Texas. It is under ownership of Texoma Broadcasting, Inc. and is broadcasting an Asian full service format to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Because KVTT uses the same frequency as Class A station KFAB in Omaha, Nebraska; it broadcasts only during the daytime and critical hours. Studios are located in Richardson along east Belt Line Road, and the transmitter is southwest of Alvord in Wise County.
KYKX is a radio station broadcasting a country music format. Licensed to Longview, Texas, United States, the station serves the East Texas area. The station is currently owned by Alpha Media LLC, through licensee Alpha Media Licensee LLC, and features programming from Fox News Radio. The current studio locations of KYKX are at 4408 North US Highway 259 in Longview and 210 South Broadway Ave., Suite 100 in Tyler. Its transmitter is located north of Longview.
KTXW is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Manor, Texas, and serving the Greater Austin radio market. The station broadcasts a Christian Talk and Teaching radio format. It is owned by GLG Media, Inc.

K269GS is licensed to serve Houston, broadcasting from a location near Baytown, off of W Baker Road & Texas Highway 330. Established in 1947, KGBC Radio is wholly owned by SIGA Broadcasting, Inc., of Houston, Texas.
The Drewry Communications Group was a media company based in Lawton, Oklahoma, wholly owned and operated by the Drewry family. The company was run by Robert Drewry, Bill Drewry, and Larry Patton. Robert and Bill are the sons of late patriarch Ransom H. Drewry.
