Kaljord is a village in the municipality of Hadsel in Nordland county, Norway. It is located along the Hadselfjorden on the island of Hinnøya. The area surrounding Kaljord is known as Innlandet or Hadsel Innland and it includes the neighboring villages of Hennes, Kvitnes, Kvantoelv, and Fiskfjord.

There are approximately 600 people that live in the area. Kaljord lies at the east end of the main road, with shops, petrol stations, a quay, and a ferry terminal (with connections to Lonkan and Hanøyvika, along the E10 highway). [2] There used to also be farms and a boat company in and around Kaljord. Møysalen National Park is located a short distance to the east.
European route E 10 is the second shortest Class A road which is part of the International E-road network. It begins in Å, Norway and ends in Luleå, Sweden. The road is about 850 km (530 mi) in length. The Norwegian part of the road is also named Kong Olav Vs vei.
Møysalen National Park is a national park located on the island of Hinnøya in Nordland county, Norway. The park was established in 2003 to preserve undisturbed coastal alpine landscape. The scenery is characterized by peaks jutting out of the ocean and fjords, the highest point is the 1,262-metre (4,140 ft) tall Møysalen mountain. The park mostly lies in Lødingen Municipality, but the far northern part crosses over into Sortland Municipality.
Melbu is a village in Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located on the island of Hadseløya on the northern shore of the Hadselfjorden. Melbu is one of two population centres on the island of Hadseløya, and it is called "The Pearl of Vesteraalen". The other being the town of Stokmarknes in the north. Melbu is host to the annual Sommer-Melbu festival.

The 0.46-square-kilometre (110-acre) village has a population (2011) of 350. The population density of the village is 761 inhabitants per square kilometre (1,970/sq mi).
Gjerstad is a village in Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located on the island of Langøya on the northern shore of the Hadselfjorden, just south of the border with Sortland Municipality. It is located approximately half-way between the towns of Stokmarknes and Sortland, and just north of the village of Grytting.

The village of Laupstad and the European route E10 highway are located about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) west of the mountain and the village of Liland is located about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) southwest of the mountain. There is a glacier located on the east side of the mountain.
Fiskebøl is a village in Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located on the island of Austvågøya on the southern shore of the Hadselfjorden. It has a ferry quay for the Melbu–Fiskebøl Ferry. The village is located just west of the Sloverfjord Tunnel where the European route E10 crosses the Sloverfjorden.
Grønning Church or Ytre Eidsfjord Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the tiny village of Grønning along the Eidsfjorden on the island of Langøya. It is the church for the Ytre Eidsfjord parish which is part of the Vesterålen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1968 by the architect Ola Stavseth. The church seats about 220 people.
Sand Church is a chapel of the Church of Norway in Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Sanden on the island of Austvågøya. It is an annex chapel for the Melbu parish which is part of the Vesterålen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white, wooden chapel was built in a long church style in 1914 to serve the southern part of Hadsel. The chapel seats about 100 people. The building was also used as a school for many years, but the school closed in 1990.
