Kani Sefid (Persian : كاني سفيد‎, also Romanized as Kānī Sefīd)^[1] is a village in Kani Bazar Rural District, Khalifan District, Mahabad County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 68, in 7 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Kani Bazar Rural District or Gawerk District of Mahabad is a rural district (dehestan) in Khalifan District, Mahabad County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 10,199, in 1,555 families. The rural district has 44 villages.
