Produced by band member Bruce Johnston, following aborted attempts to have founding member Brian Wilson return to his former role, the album is the last with founding drummer Dennis Wilson, who would drown in December 1983. The album also features the Eagles' guitarist Joe Walsh on the opening track "Keepin' the Summer Alive".

Good Timin': Live at Knebworth, England 1980 is a CD and DVD release of a concert performance by the Beach Boys at Knebworth, Hertfordshire in June 1980. Because of Brian Wilson's limited tour schedule with the Beach Boys, Knebworth is the only live album to feature Beach Boys Brian Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Carl Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine and Bruce Johnston together until later two live albums featuring all 6 band members, two recorded in 1979 and 4 recorded in 1983 which are unreleased but will be released. The concert, a shared bill with Mike Oldfield and Santana, was also their last major UK performance together until their 2012 reunion tour.

Following the departure of keyboardist Rick Wakeman and the addition of guitarist, keyboardist, and producer Billy Sherwood in 1997, Sherwood and bassist Chris Squire started to develop songs for an album by their own band, Conspiracy. They caught the attention of their new management who suggested to use some of their material for a new Yes studio album. Jon Anderson and guitarist Steve Howe's late involvement caused their creative input to be limited.

It contains the title track "Catch Me ", which was a top ten hit in the U.S. and also hit number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart the previous year. The second single off the album was a remix of their 1984 dance hit "Nighttime" which references Whodini's 1984 song "Freaks Come Out at Night" and was a top 40 hit in May 1988. The third single, "When I Look into Your Eyes", peaked on the dance chart in September of the same year.

Just Like the First Time is the second studio album by American R&B/Soul singer Freddie Jackson. Released in November 1986, the album had one of the longest record runs at number one on the U.S. R&B Albums chart, as it spent 26 weeks at the top of that chart. It also peaked at number 23 on the Billboard 200. It was certified platinum by the RIAA on January 20, 1987. The album yielded three number-one singles on the R&B singles chart with "Have You Ever Loved Somebody", "Tasty Love" and "Jam Tonight". A fourth single, "I Don't Want to Lose Your Love", just missed the top spot, peaking at number two. The fifth single, "Look Around", peaked at number 69. A fourth number one single, "A Little Bit More," a duet with Melba Moore was also featured as an eleventh track on some editions of the album.
