Kentucky Route 227 (KY 227) is a 52.762-mile-long (84.912 km) state highway in Kentucky that runs from U.S. Route 460 (US 460) near Georgetown, Kentucky to US 42 and KY 36 in Carrollton, Kentucky.
KY 227 starts north in Scott County and goes through Stamping Ground before entering Owen County. Just southeast of Owenton, KY 227 meets KY 22 and joins it on its way to Owenton. Just before entering downtown Owenton, US 127 joins the route. In downtown Owenton, KY 22 leaves and KY 227 and US 127 travel north alone. Just north of the Owenton city limits, KY 227 leaves US 127 and begins traveling toward New Liberty on a stretch of road that was formerly numbered 978. Just southeast of New Liberty, KY 227 meets KY 36 and joins it through New Liberty before KY 36 branches to the right toward Sanders. KY 227 passes through the unincorporated community of Wheatley before crossing over into Carroll County. KY 227 travels barely west of Worthville. About halfway in Carroll County, KY 227 meets Interstate 71. KY 227 travels for three miles before meeting KY 36 just north of entering the city limits. KY 36 joins KY 227 and both travel north until they meet US 42. KY 227 ends at US 42, while KY 36 leaves and joins US 42 towards the west and into downtown Carrollton.
KY 227 was formerly US 227 and ran from Carrollton, Kentucky to Richmond, Kentucky. US 227 was replaced by KY 227, US 460, and KY 627.

U.S. Route 42 is an east–west United States highway that runs southwest–northeast for 350 miles (560 km) from Louisville, Kentucky to Cleveland, Ohio. The route has several names including Pearl Road from Cleveland to Medina in Northeast Ohio, Reading Road in Cincinnati, Cincinnati and Lebanon Pike in southwestern Ohio and Brownsboro Road in Louisville. Traveling northeast, the highway ends in downtown Cleveland and traveling southwest ends in Louisville.
Route 10 is a highway in Clay, Ray, and Carroll counties in western Missouri, United States. Its eastern terminus is at the concurrency of US 24/US 65 in Carrollton. Its western terminus is at US 69 in Excelsior Springs. A business loop of Route 10 travels through Richmond.

U.S. Route 127 (US 127) is a 758-mile-long (1,220 km) north–south U.S. Highway in the eastern half of the United States. The southern terminus of the route is at US 27 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The northern terminus is at Interstate 75 (I-75) near Grayling, Michigan. Since 1987, it has been the core of the annual World's Longest Yard Sale, also known as the Highway 127 Corridor Sale, which now stretches 690 miles (1,110 km) from Addison, Michigan, to Gadsden, Alabama. The sale, held every August, was started to demonstrate that the older U.S. Highway System has something to offer that the Interstate Highway System does not. In Michigan, US 127 tripled in length in 2002, taking mileage from its parent, US 27.
U.S. Route 227 was a U.S. Highway that was commissioned in Kentucky from 1928 to 1972, and ran from Richmond to Carrollton.

It later runs through the state capital of Frankfort before continuing north, eventually passing through several Cincinnati suburbs in Northern Kentucky, joining US 42 near Warsaw and US 25 in Florence before crossing the Ohio River via the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge.

Kentucky Route 355 is a state highway in Kentucky that runs from US 127 near Monterey to KY 227 near Worthville. KY 355 is entirely inside Owen County and passes through the unincorporated communities of Gratz and Perry Park. KY 355 provides direct access from Carrollton to Frankfort. KY 355 begins on jointhe northern side of Monterey. After a short run east, it curves to the north. Before entering Gratz, KY 22 joins KY 355 and both head into Gratz. Both routes turn on a side street before coming to a T Intersection. KY 355 goes to the left, while KY 22 goes to the right on its way to Owenton. KY 355 continues heading north and ends at KY 227 in northwestern Owen County.
Kentucky Route 2354 is a state highway in the city of Owenton in Owen County, Kentucky. The highway runs 0.454 miles (0.731 km) along Roland Avenue from KY 22 north to U.S. Route 127 and KY 227. KY 2354 provides a western bypass of downtown Owenton for traffic between KY 22 and US 127.
