Koidu-Sefadu Sports Stadium is a multi-use 2,000 capacity soccer stadium located in Koidu Town, Kono District, Sierra Leone. The stadium is used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of the Diamond Stars, the club that represents the Kono District.
Koidu Town is the capital and largest city of the Kono District in the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone. Its population is 128,030 based on the 2015 census. It is the fifth largest city in Sierra Leone by population, after Freetown, Kenema, Bo and Makeni. It lies approximately 280 miles east of Freetown, and about 60 miles north of Kenema.

The towns of Jaiama and Nimikor are twin to form Jaiama Nimikor. The population of Jaiama Nimikor is 5,150. Like in virtually every towns in Kono District, Jaima Nimikor is a major diamond producer.
Sewafe is a diamond-mining town in Kono District in the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone. The town is 30 miles west of Koidu Town and about 220 miles east of Freetown, on the highway linking Koidu Town to Kenema. Sewafe had an estimated population of 5,249 in 2009. The town has a government hospital and two police stations run by the Sierra Leone Police Force.

Islamic Secondary School Koidu (ISSK) is a government-sponsored secondary school located in Koidutown, Kono District, Sierra Leone. The school was founded by a Mandingo philanthropist Alhaji Sheku "Taylor" Koita in 1979. Although the school has an Islamic tradition, student from all religious background are accepted, and the teachers came from different religious background. The school is regarded as one of the best secondary schools in Kono District.
