Korf Bay (Russian : залив Корфа) is a bay on the Kamchatka Peninsula coast of the Bering Sea in Russia.
It is approximately triangular, being about 70 kilometers (43 mi) wide at the mouth and extending inland about 75 kilometers (47 mi).
On the west side, the Ilpinsky Peninsula separates it from Anapka Bay, which forms the north end of Karaginsky Gulf. On the east, the Govena Peninsula (Cape Govensky) separates it from the Olyutor Gulf. The northern coast contains the Skrytaya Harbor, which is a major salmon fishing ground.
The largest settlements on the gulf are Tilichiki and Olyutorovka.
The bay is named after Baron Andrey Korf, the first Governor General of Priamurye. This is the Baron Korf or Barankoff Bay mentioned by the American travelers Washington Vanderlip and Olaf Swenson.
The 2006 Kamchatka earthquakes were centered on the seaside village of Korf. Coal was mined and exported from a mine near the bay in the early 20th century.

The Peter the Great Gulf is a gulf on the southern coast of Primorsky Krai, Russia, and the largest gulf of the Sea of Japan. The gulf extends for 185 km (115 mi) from the Russian–North Korean border at the mouth of the Tumen River in the west across to Cape Povorotny in the east, and its bays reach 90 km (56 mi) inland. Gizhigin Bay is a wide bay northwest of Kamchatka, Russia. It is the northwestern arm of Shelikhov Bay in the northeast corner of the Sea of Okhotsk. The settlements of Evensk and Gizhiga are located at the head of the bay.
The 1952 Severo-Kurilsk earthquake struck off the coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula. The 9.0 Mw earthquake triggered a major tsunami that hit Severo-Kurilsk, Kuril Islands, Sakhalin Oblast, Russian SFSR, USSR, on 5 November 1952 at 04:58 local time. This led to the destruction of many settlements in Sakhalin Oblast and Kamchatka Oblast, while the main impact struck the town of Severo-Kurilsk. It was the most powerful earthquake ever recorded in Russia, and the fifth most powerful earthquake ever recorded in the world since modern seismography began in 1900.

The First Kamchatka Expedition was the first Russian expedition to explore the Asian Pacific coast. It was commissioned by Peter the Great in 1724 and was led by Vitus Bering. Afield from 1725 to 1731, it was Russia's first naval scientific expedition. It confirmed the presence of a strait between Asia and America and was followed in 1732 by the Second Kamchatka Expedition.
