Kusruthi Kuruppu (transl. Mischievous Kurup) is a 1998 Indian Malayalam-language comedy-drama film directed by Venugopan and written by Rafi Mecartin. The film stars Jayaram, Meena, Jagathy Sreekumar, Innocent and KPAC Lalitha in the lead roles. The film has musical score by Johnson.    The film was a box office success. 
Narendran (Jayaram) is a well to do businessman. His parents are no more, but his father's three friends act as his extended family and advisors. He spends his evenings drinking with them and they act a support structure for him. His business is successful. But every once in a while, Narendran takes off without telling anyone and tries to live a simple life without anyone knowing about his financial status. Once on one such trip, he ends up in a village and rents a place owned by a local family. The couple who own the house (Oduvil Unnikrishnan and KPAC Lalitha) have four children. The eldest Jagathy, is married to a woman from a different faith. Narendran likes their family, the food and the overall simplicity of their lives. He eventually falls in love with the eldest daughter of the family (Meera, played by Meena). They get married with the blessings of her family and his father's friends. After the wedding he invites his in-laws to stay with him for a while. Thereafter, the movie takes a turn when her relatives start interfering in his business, with disastrous results. The rest of the movie shows how the hero handles the situation, and deals with his enemies too, who try to take advantage of the situation, as well as his wife and her relatives.
The music was composed by Johnson and the lyrics were written by Gireesh Puthenchery.

Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka is a 2001 Indian Malayalam-language satirical film directed by Sathyan Anthikkad and written by Sreenivasan. The film stars Kunchacko Boban and Samyuktha Varma. The story follows Jayakanthan, who comes from Kumbakonam, to his late father's village in Paruthippara, Kannur district, to claim his father's property. The film marks the acting debut of Asin, however this remained her first and only Malayalam film to date. The film released on 24 August 2001 coinciding with the festival of Onam.
Manassinakkare is a 2003 Indian Malayalam family drama film directed by Sathyan Anthikkad and written by Ranjan Pramod. It stars Jayaram, Sheela, and Nayanthara in the lead, while Innocent, Oduvil Unnikrishnan, K. P. A. C. Lalitha, Siddique, Sukumari, Nedumudi Venu, and Mammukoya play other prominent roles. The film's score and soundtrack were composed by Ilayaraja. The film marked the return of Sheela as an actress and the film debut of Nayanthara. It won four awards at Filmfare Awards South.
Peruvannapurathe Visheshangal is a 1989 Indian Malayalam-language romantic comedy film directed by Kamal and written by Ranjith from a story by Kamal, it was produced by Castle Productions. CID Unnikrishnan B.A. B.Ed. is a 1994 Indian Malayalam-language mystery comedy film starring Jayaram, Maniyanpilla Raju, Jagathy Sreekumar, Rohini, Indrans and Sukumaran. This film was written by Sasidharan Arattuvazhi and directed by Rajasenan. It was made as an homage to CID Nazir (1971). The film was also a breakthrough in the career of Indrans. In the film, Unnikrishnan, a young man gets hired in a private detective company; soon, he is given the task of investigating a businessman's daughter's record. But during the course of his investigation, he faces opposition from two detectives who work with the same company.

It was remade in Tamil twice, as Valli Vara Pora (1995) and Naiyaandi (2013). Kappan remade the film in Assamese as Borolar Ghor (2012).
Ponmuttayidunna Tharavu is a 1988 Indian Malayalam-language romantic comedy-drama film, written by Raghunath Paleri and directed by Sathyan Anthikad. It stars Sreenivasan, Jayaram, Urvashi and Innocent in the lead roles. It was Sreenivasan's first role as a hero after Sanghaganam (1979). The film was remade in Hindi in 2010 as Dus Tola.

Sreekrishnapurathe Nakshathrathilakkam is a 1998 Indian Malayalam-language comedy drama film, directed by Rajasenan. It is a remake of the Tamil film Bama Vijayam (1967). The film features Innocent, Jagathy Sreekumar, Cochin Haneefa, Oduvil Unnikrishnan, K. P. A. C. Lalitha, Kalaranjini, Bindu Panicker and Nagma in her debut malayalam film, although her previous Malayalam film, “Anna” was officially unreleased to date. It was produced by Highness Arts and was distributed by Kavyachandrika Release. The story and screenplay of the movie were designed by Mani Shornur, to which Rajan Kizhakkanela added the dialogues.
