La Sierpe is a municipality and town in the Sancti Spíritus Province of Cuba. It is located in the south-eastern part of the province, 30 kilometres (19 mi) from Sancti Spiritus, the provincial capital.
It borders the Gulf of Ana Maria of the Caribbean Sea to the south and the province of Ciego de Ávila to the east.
It is also located near the geographic center of the country.
In 2022, the municipality of La Sierpe had a population of 16,937. [2] With a total area of 1,035 km2 (400 sq mi), [1] it has a population density of 16/km2 (41/sq mi).
Placetas is a city in the Villa Clara Province in the center of Cuba; before the change in the country's government in 1959 the province was called Las Villas. The town is also known as La Villa de los Laureles because of its wild laurel trees. Placetas is also a municipio, one of 13 subdivisions of the Villa Clara Province. Cuba's geographical center, Guaracabulla, is located in this municipality.

Guasimal is a Cuban village and consejo popular of the municipality of Sancti Spíritus, in Sancti Spíritus Province. In 2011 it had a population of about 5,000.
