Aarhus is the second-largest city in Denmark and the seat of Aarhus municipality. It is located on the eastern shore of Jutland in the Kattegat sea and approximately 187 kilometres (116 mi) northwest of Copenhagen.

The ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum is an art museum in Aarhus, Denmark. The museum was established in 1859 and is the oldest public art museum in Denmark outside Copenhagen. On 7 April 2004, ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum opened with exhibitions in a brand new modern building, 10 stories tall with a total floor area of 20,700 m² and designed by Danish architects Schmidt Hammer Lassen. Today, ARoS is one of the largest art museums in Northern Europe with a total of 980,909 visitors in 2017.
Aaby, or Åby, is a suburban area of Aarhus in Denmark. Located 4 km from the city centre of Aarhus, Åby was originally an old village, but is now an integrated a part of Åbyhøj, that sprawled around it. To distinguish Åby from Åbyhøj, the village area is often referred to as Gammel Åby. Åby is situated at a bend of the Aarhus River and there is access to the river and the pathway of Brabrandstien from here.

Vesterbro is a neighbourhood of Aarhus, Denmark. It is located in the Aarhus C district, west of the city centre of Indre By. Vesterbro used to be farmland outside the city walls, and the neighbourhood's development progressed, when the city walls of Aarhus were demolished in 1851.
Godsbanen is a cultural centre in central Aarhus, Denmark since 2012. The site and most of the buildings are a former goods station, known as "Aarhus Godsbanegård", which was in use from 1923 to 2000. It is located at the end of a broad sidetrack to the central railway yard of Aarhus. In December 2010, Realdania announced that the area would be gradually transformed into a modern city district, through a collaborative project with Aarhus Municipality. Apart from the new cultural centre of Godsbanen, there are plans to build several buildings and institutions along the former railway yard, including a new school of architecture.
Marselisborg Forests, or simply Marselisborg Forest, is a 550 hectares forest to the south of Aarhus City in the Kingdom of Denmark. Many present day sources now includes the forest of Fløjstrup, as part of the Marselisborg Forests, upping the total area with another 200 hectares. Marselisborg Forests runs along the coastline of the Aarhus Bay in a hilly terrain with steep slopes and deep gullies, especially at the shoreline. There are many traces of prehistoric activities here and the landscape have been covered by woodlands for thousands of years.
The Latin Quarter is a neighbourhood in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It is bounded by Nørregade to the west, Vestergade to the south, Vester Voldgade to the east and Nørre Voldgade to the north. The name refers to the Latin language, which was once widely spoken in and around the University, whose historic home is situated on the other side of Nørregade. Most of the student life has now been relocated to four new campuses but the area is still known for its lively atmosphere with an abundance of boutiques, cafés and night clubs.
Musikhuset Aarhus is a large concert hall complex in Aarhus, Denmark. Located in the city centre, Musikhuset is Aarhus' main venue for music and with seating for more than 3,600 people in total, it is the largest concert hall in Scandinavia. Musikhuset Aarhus was designed by Kjær & Richter and built in 1979-1982, commissioned by Aarhus Municipality.
Nørre Stenbro is a small neighborhood in the city of Aarhus, Denmark home to some 3,000 residents. The neighborhood is part of the Aarhus C district and borders the neighborhoods of Indre By south and west, Aarhus Docklands in the east and Trøjborg north. The residential area of Nørre Stenbro is delimited by the streets Nørre Boulevard, Østboulevarden, Østbanetorvet, Kystvejen, Nørreport and Nørrebrogade, but the large Nordre Cemetery and the smaller residential quarter of Skovvejskvarteret is also part of the same registration.
Indre By is a neighborhood in the city of Aarhus, Denmark. The neighborhood is bounded by Nørre Allé, Vester Allé and Sønder Allé and is composed of the neighborhood and historical centre of the Latin Quarter and the areas around the Central Station and the City Hall Park. The neighborhood is one of the three main neighborhoods in the district of Aarhus C, along with Frederiksbjerg and Vesterbro.
Juul's House is a house and a listed building in Aarhus, Denmark. The house was built in 1629 and was listed on the national Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 1 April 1984. The building is one of the oldest in the city and it is situated in the historical Latin Quarter on Mejlgade. It has been a paint shop since 1842 and it is the oldest paint shop in the country.
Mejlgade is a street in Aarhus which runs north to south from Østbanetorvet to Skolegade and intersects Nørrebrogade. The street is situated in the historic Latin Quarter neighborhood and has the highest number of historic and listed buildings in the city. Mejlgade is one-way and no-parking zone for cars for most of its length and pedestrians and cyclists are given priority. The single lane is tiled and a part of the Cykelringen bicycle ring which circumnavigates the city center. Mejlgade has a high number of small specialty shops and some cafés and bars.
Vestergade is a street in Aarhus, Denmark, which runs east to west from the central square of Store Torv to the city park of Åparken at Carl Blochs Gade, intersecting the main streets of Grønnegade and Vester Allé along its course. Vestergade begins in the Indre By neighborhood and ends in neighborhood of Vesterbro, close to CeresByen. Vestergade has some of the best preserved 18th-century merchant estates in Aarhus and a history of creativity and artistic expression.
Studsgade is a street in Aarhus which runs north to south from Nørreport to Klostergade and Graven. The street is situated in the historic Latin Quarter neighborhood and is home to four listed buildings. The street has existed since at least the 1400s, when it was known as Sturisgade and Stus Gaden, probably for councillor Jep Sture, who had a house there. It was officially given its current name in 1796.
Klostergade is a street in Aarhus which runs east from Grønnegade to Studsgade, intersecting a number of streets.
Skolegade is a street in Aarhus, Denmark which runs north to south from Mejlgade to Mindebrogade. The street is situated in the Midtbyen neighborhood. Skolegade is home to two listed buildings and runs past the Aarhus Theater. Skolegade is an area with many bars and eateries, and it has a lively nightlife. The street is from at least medieval times with many historic buildings.
Graven is a street in Aarhus, Denmark. Graven was created some time before year 1500 on and in the northernmost moat used to defend the early Viking settlement. It is one of the oldest streets in the city and used to mark the northern city limits along with Klostergade. Graven runs 220 meter west to east from Klostergade to Mejlgade and is situated in the historic Latin Quarter neighborhood. Graven is fairly narrow and is a designated one-way street for motorized traffic in the direction of Mejlgade towards Klostergade. Graven is characterized by low housing, cafés and speciality shops, and has much foot and bicycle traffic. As Klostergade and Mejlgade, Graven is a shared bikeway, part of the city's bicycle infrastructure network.
