Lindian (Chinese :林甸; pinyin :Líndiàn) is a county of roughly 10,000 inhabitants[ dubious ] under the jurisdiction of Daqing, Heilongjiang province, China. Lindian County is divided into five towns and three townships, among which, the town of Lindian serves as the political and transportation centre of the county.
Geographically, Lindian county is located form 124°18'E to 125°21'E and 46°44'N to 47°29'N with a total area of 3746 square kilometers including 1160 square kilometers cultivated land.
The county has a total and agricultural population of 260,000 and 198,000, respectively. Ninety nine percent of the total population is Han people and peoples of eleven other ethnic groups such as Mongolian, Hui, Manchu and Korean are living mixed with them. The natural growth rate of its population is below 0.41 percent.
Lying on the alluvial plain of Songhua-Nen rivers and with the Wuyuer River and Shuangyang River flowing across its land, Lindian County possesses 210 square kilometers of water surface and 2100 square kilometers of wetland. It covers part of Zhalong Nature Reserve, which is listed in the World Important Wetland Contents in 1992 by the United Nations, and also owns Xiaoheishan Natural Reserve. In the reserve regions are dwelling 13 different types of cranes including the rare red-crowned crane and 181 other water birds such as swans, wild goose, white storks and mandarin ducks.
Lindian is establishing its name for its rich geothermal resources. Beneath the entire country territory stores 180,000 million cubic meters of heat water with temperature ranging from forty degrees Celsius to ninety degrees Celsius. It is named the Town of Hot Springs of China in September 2004 by China Mining Association.
The County also enjoys a good public infrastructure. There are national highways, independent electrical supplies, fiber and cable networks, and financial and commercial services among other facilities.
As for the Town of Lindian, the total area is 148 square kilometers and the total population is 52,378 (see the note below).
Kyrgyzstan is a landlocked nation in Central Asia, west of the People's Republic of China. Less than a seventh the size of Mongolia, at 199,951 square kilometers, Kyrgyzstan is one of the smaller Central Asian states. The Geography of Pakistan is a profound blend of landscapes varying from plains to deserts, forests, and plateaus ranging from the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea in the south to the mountains of the Karakoram, Hindukush, Himalayas ranges in the north. Pakistan geologically overlaps both with the Indian and the Eurasian tectonic plates where its Sindh and Punjab provinces lie on the north-western corner of the Indian plate while Balochistan and most of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa lie within the Eurasian plate which mainly comprises the Iranian Plateau. South Korea is located in East Asia, on the southern half of the Korean Peninsula located out from the far east of the Asian landmass. The only country with a land border to South Korea is North Korea, lying to the north with 238 kilometres (148 mi) of the border running along the Korean Demilitarized Zone. South Korea is mostly surrounded by water and has 2,413 kilometres (1,499 mi) of coast line along three seas; to the west is the Yellow Sea, to the south is the East China Sea, and to the east is the Sea of Japan. The approximate coordinates are 37° North, 128° East.
The Yellow River or Huang He is the second-longest river in China, after the Yangtze River, and the sixth-longest river system in the world at the estimated length of 5,464 km (3,395 mi). Originating in the Bayan Har Mountains in Qinghai province of Western China, it flows through nine provinces, and it empties into the Bohai Sea near the city of Dongying in Shandong province. The Yellow River basin has an east–west extent of about 1,900 kilometers (1,180 mi) and a north–south extent of about 1,100 km (680 mi). Its total drainage area is about 795,000 square kilometers (307,000 sq mi).
Mali is a landlocked nation in West Africa, located southwest of Algeria, extending south-west from the southern Sahara Desert through the Sahel to the Sudanian savanna zone. Mali's size is 1,240,192 square kilometers.
The Geography of the Soviet Union includes the geographic features of countries of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The Soviet Union was the largest country in the world, covering approximately one-seventh of Earth's land surface. It was two and a half times the size of the United States, and only slightly smaller in land area than the entire continent of North America. It covered most of the northern half of Asia and a large part of Eastern Europe, extending even into the Middle East. About one-quarter of its territory was in Europe, and the rest in Asia. Soroca is a district in north-east Moldova. Its administrative center is the town of Soroca. At 1 January 2011, the population of the region was 100,400.
Ulugqat County is a county in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. It is under the administration of the Kyrgyz autonomous prefecture of Kizilsu. The county has two towns, nine townships and one state-owned farm, eight communities and 34 villages under its jurisdiction in 2017, its county seat is Wuqia Town. It contains an area of 19,118.11 km2 (7,381.54 sq mi) and has a population of 56,633 with main ethnic groups of Kyrgyz, Han and Uyghur peoples.
Siling Lake, is a lake in the Tibet Autonomous Region, to the north of Xainza. Doijiang is located near the lake. Administratively it belongs to Xainza County and Baingoin County of the Nagqu Prefecture.
The Environmental Vulnerability Index (EVI) is a measurement devised by the South Pacific Applied Geoscience Commission (SOPAC), the United Nations Environment Program and others to characterize the relative severity of various types of environmental issues suffered by 243 enumerated individual nations and other geographies. The results of the EVI are used to focus on planned solutions to negative pressures on the environment, whilst promoting sustainability.
Ludian County is a county under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Zhaotong, it lies in the north east of Yunnan Province, China, and shares land borders with Guizhou Province. The west and east of the county are high terrains, and the middle is low and flat. Agriculture and smelting industry make the greatest contribution to its economy.
Jingtai County is a county in the middle of Gansu Province, bordering Inner Mongolia to the north. It is under the administration of Baiyin City and located at its northwest end. Covering an administrative area of 5,483 square kilometers, it governs 8 towns, 3 townships, 136 administrative villages and 7 communities. Its postal code is 730400, and its population in 1999 was 230,415 people. It has an obvious advantage of location in the junction of Gansu, Ningxia and Inner Mongolia. Historically, it was a military hub, a vital communication center of the Silk Road, an important ferry, and also a major transformation route to Hexi, Xinjiang, Ningxia and Inner Mongolia. Starting from 1933, the name of Jingtai County means "prosperity of the scene, peace of the country and the people".
Huyi District also formerly known as Hu County, or Huxian, is one of 11 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province, Northwest China. The district was approved to establish from the former Hu County (户县) by the Chinese State Council on November 24, 2016. As of 2018, its population was 558,600. The district borders the prefecture-level cities of Xianyang to the north and Ankang to the south and Chang'an District to the east.
Helan County is a county of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China, it is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia, and borders Inner Mongolia to the northwest. It has a total area of 1,600 km2 (620 sq mi), and a population of approximately 180,000 people.
Jesus Carranza Municipality is a municipality located in the State of Veracruz, in Mexico. The town has an area of 486.32 kilometers squared. It represents about 0.67 percent of the State of Veracruz. Jesus Carranza borders the State of Oaxaca to its west. It is located 435 kilometers from the state capital of Veracruz, Xalapa. Jesus Carranza Municipality governs the communities of Jesus Carranza, Suchilapan River, Col. Nuevo Morelos, El Tepache and Coapiloloyita.
