Line 23 is an under construction Shanghai Metro line that would run from Shanghai Indoor Stadium in Xuhui District to Minhang Development Zone in Minhang District. Its It is planned to be 29 kilometres (18 mi) in length, and is planned to have 22 stations. The line was announced by the Shanghai municipal government in 2016. [1] [2] It will adopt unmanned driving (GoA4).
The line will not utilise the existing branch Line 5 service between Dongchuan Road and Minhang Development Zone stations, with the line planned to be fully underground. [3] Once complete, it will feature interchange stations with Lines 3, 4, 5, 15, and 19. [4] The construction period of this project is expected to be 74 months.

Line 5 is a north–south rapid transit line of the Shanghai Metro network, running from Xinzhuang station in Minhang District in the north to Fengxian Xincheng in Fengxian District was originally planned as the Minhang and Fengxian sections of line 1 extending south to Minhang. Despite its numeric designation, it was the fourth Shanghai Metro line to enter passenger service, opening on 25 November 2003. The line is colored violet on system maps.
The Chengdu Metro is the rapid transit system of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan, China. With the opening of Line 1 on 27 September 2010, the system had thirteen subway lines and one light rail line. It has subsequently undergone rapid expansion. Since the opening of Lines 6, 8, 9, and 17 on 18 December 2020, the Chengdu Metro is the 4th longest metro system in the world.
Line 11 is a northwest–southeast line of the Shanghai Metro network. Since October 2013, Line 11 serves Kunshan city, making it is the second intercity metro in China after the Guangfo Metro and the first that crosses a provincial boundary. With a single-line mileage of 82.386 kilometres (51.192 mi), it is the second-longest single-line subway line in China, after Line 6 in Chongqing, which is 85.6 km (53.2 mi) long. The line is colored brown on system maps.
Line 15 of the Shanghai Metro is a north-south metro line in the city of Shanghai that opened on 23 January 2021. The line begins at Gucun Park in Baoshan District at its northern end, and terminates at Zizhu Hi-tech Park in Minhang District at its southern end, via Shanghai West Railway Station and Shanghai South Railway Station. It will be 42.3 kilometres (26.3 mi) in length and have 30 stations. The line is one of Shanghai Metro's new batch of high capacity fully automated and driverless lines along with Lines 14 and 18. The line is colored ivory on system maps.
Line 16 was a former metro line that was planned for construction between 2010~2020; the line starts from Hongkou Football Stadium, Hongkou District, via Shanghai Circus World, Shanghai West Railway Station, Shanghai Zoo, Lianhua Road, Meilong Town to Wujing Town, and Minhang District. The line can change to lines 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. As the "Line 16" designation has been usurped by a new line, its current status is unknown.
Line 18 is a north–south Shanghai Metro line running from South Changjiang Road station in the city's Baoshan District to Hangtou station in Pudong, with a length of 36.13 km (22.45 mi). The line was originally scheduled to open by the end of 2020. However, officials announced that only the initial segment of eight stations in Pudong started test runs in September 2020. The 14.5 km (9.0 mi) southern section opened for passenger operations on December 26, 2020. The remainder of the line was opened on 30 December 2021. The line is 36.5 km (22.7 mi) long with 26 stations. The line is one of Shanghai Metro's new batch of high capacity fully automated and driverless lines along with Lines 14 and 15. The line is colored earth yellow on system maps.
The Chongming line is a rapid transit line on the Shanghai Metro that is part of the 2018–2023 Shanghai Metro plan. The Chongming line was previously treated as the last phase of Line 9, and was Line 19 until 2016, when it was renamed the Chongming line.
Line 17 of the Shanghai Metro, formerly known as the Qingpu line, is an east-west rapid transit line that runs between Hongqiao Railway Station in Minhang District and Oriental Land in Qingpu District. All stations are fully accessible. It is 35.3 kilometres (21.9 mi) in length with 13 stations. The line entered passenger trial operations on 30 December 2017.
Line 21 will be a future subway line on the Shanghai Metro. It will run in a north–south direction through Pudong, connecting Gaohang in Waigaoqiao to the Disney Resort. The first phase will be about 28 km (17 mi) long with 10 stations. Stations will have passing loops to allow for express and local stopping patterns.
Nanchang Metro, officially Nanchang Rail Transit, is a rapid transit system in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. As of 2021, four lines are operational. The Metro opened for commercial operation in December 2015. The network is currently 128.3 km (79.7 mi) in length with 4 lines. A total length of 163 km (101.3 mi) of network is planned, with Line 5 which is currently under planning.
Line 22 is a future subway line on the Shanghai Metro. It will be located in south-west Shanghai near Dachang in Baoshan District and Taopu in Putuo District. The line was announced by the Municipal government in 2016.
Line 20 will be a future subway line on the Shanghai Metro. It will run in an east–west direction in northern Shanghai, connecting Shanghai West railway station in Jiading District to Gongqing Forest Park in Yangpu District, with a possible future extension to Zhouhai Road in northern Pudong. It will be about 20 km (12 mi) long with 10 stations. The line was announced by the Municipal government in 2016.
The Xuzhou Metro is a rapid transit system in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. Construction began in February 2014, and Line 1 was opened on September 28, 2019, Line 2 was opened on November 28, 2020, and Line 3 was opened on June 28, 2021.
Line 24 will be a future subway line on the Shanghai Metro. The line was announced by the Municipal government in 2016. It will run in a north–south direction through Pudong and connect the Huangpu River bank in Yangpu District with the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. It will form a ring around the Middle Ring Road together with Line 20 and Line 22.
Shanghai Suburban Railway (上海市域铁路) is a network of regional railways radiating or surrounding the city of Shanghai, China. It is a plan for the gradual implementation of a regional rail system across the metropolitan area. The system will eventually connect with Jiangsu Yangtze MIR and Hangzhou Greater Bay Area network.
Line 19 is an under construction subway line on the Shanghai Metro. Its termini are planned to be Baoshan Railway Station and Hongjian Road. It is planned to be 46.2 km (28.7 mi) in length, with 34 stations. The line hopes to ease car congestion along Pudong South Road, as well as reduce crowding on the southern part of line 8, and the northern sections of lines 1 and 3.
Jiamin line is a commuter rail line currently under construction on the Shanghai Suburban Railway, and will be run by Shentong Metro Group. It runs from Yindu Road in Minhang District to Chengbei Road in Jiading District. Construction started on 28 June 2021. The line is expected to open in 2027.
Chengdu Metro Line 27 is a Chengdu Metro line under construction in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. It is a tangential line that runs diagonally from the west to the north of Chengdu. The train uses 6 car B-type trains. Line 27's colour is light blue.
Line 26 is a future subway line on the Shanghai Metro. The line was announced by the Municipal government in 2016.
Xicen is an under-construction station on Line 17 of the Shanghai Metro. It is a part of the west-extension project. Located at the south of G50 Huyu Expressway and between the Lianxi Highway and Peiya Road, it will serves as the western terminus of Line 17 when it is completed. The construction started on 28 June 2021.
