Line 3 of Metrovia was inaugurated on May 4 of 2008. It connects the populous Neighborhood of Bastion Popular at the North of Guayaquil with downtown.

Buenos Aires Underground rapid transit railway in Buenos Aires, Argentina

The Buenos Aires Underground, locally known as Subte, is a rapid transit system that serves the area of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The first section of this network opened in 1913, making it the 13th subway in the world, and first underground railway in Latin America, the Southern Hemisphere and the Spanish-speaking world, with the Madrid Metro opening five years later, in 1919. As of 2015, Buenos Aires is the only Argentine city with a metro system, but there is a proposal to build a metro in the city of Córdoba, while a proposal to build a metro in Rosario was shelved in favour of a tramway network.

Line E (Buenos Aires Underground) metro line

Line E of the Buenos Aires Underground, which runs from Bolivar to Plaza de los Virreyes, currently extending a total distance of 9.2 km, with a further extension to Retiro due to be completed in 2017. Opened in 1944, the Line E was the last completely new line to be added to the Buenos Aires Underground, until 2007 when Line H was opened. The line has a history of being re-routed and extended due to having been historically the line with the lowest passenger numbers on the network.

Federico Lacroze railway station railway station

Federico Lacroze railway station ) is a passenger railway station in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The station is located in the city's outlying barrio (neighbourhood) of Chacarita in a predominantly residential area. It is just a short distance north of the Cementerio de la Chacarita, the city's largest cemetery. The station is named after Federico Lacroze, a prominent 19th century Argentine railway and transport pioneer who obtained the concession for building the Buenos Aires Central Railway in 1884. When the Argentine railway network was nationalised in 1948 the station became the Buenos Aires terminus for the lines that became part of the General Urquiza Railway (FCGU).

Unidad de Gestión Operativa Ferroviaria de Emergencia

Unidad de Gestión Operativa Ferroviaria de Emergencia (UGOFE) was a temporary consortium of Argentine companies formed on 7 January 2005 by Ferrovías, Metrovías and Trenes de Buenos Aires to take over the running of commuter railway services in Buenos Aires after concessions granted to Metropolitano in 1994 for the operation of these services were revoked.

Ferrocarriles Metropolitanos S.A. (FEMESA) was a company set up by the Argentine government in 1991, during the presidency of Carlos Menem, to oversee the privatisation of commuter rail services within the city of Buenos Aires in Argentina. The company granted concessions to Metropolitano S.A., Ferrovias S.A., Metrovias S.A. and Trenes de Buenos Aires S.A. for the operation of services which had previously been run by state-owned companies since nationalisation of the railways in 1948. With its task complete, FEMESA was wound up in 1997.

Premetro (Buenos Aires)

The Premetro is a 7.4-kilometer long (4.6 mi) light rail line that runs in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, connecting with the Buenos Aires Underground line E, at Plaza de los Virreyes station and runs to General Savio, with a short branch to Centro Cívico. It opened in 1987 and is operated by Metrovías. Originally, the Premetro was to include many more lines, but shortly after the privatisation of the railways the projects were postponed and never materialised and only "Premetro E2" was built.

Urquiza Line

The Urquiza Line is a 26 km (16 mi) suburban electric commuter rail line in Buenos Aires, Argentina, operated by the Buenos Aires Underground operator Metrovías. It runs from the Federico Lacroze terminus in the neighborhood of Chacarita, to General Lemos terminus in Campo de Mayo district of Greater Buenos Aires, completing a total journey time of 46 minutes. The line uses third rail current collection and, at present, is used by an average of 75,400 passengers daily. The line operates 20 hours a day, 7 days a week at 8 to 30 minute intervals. This suburban line runs on track once operated by General Urquiza Railway before railway privatisation.

Metrovía

Metrovía is a rapid bus transit system that has been developed in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and is now a widely used means of transportation in the city.

Lane 1 of Metrovia, Opened to the public on July 30 of 2006, it is the first Line of a total of 7 to operate in Metrovia's BRT System.

Hoy, was a daily publication in Ecuador, was published from June 7, 1982 until August 26, 2014. Its editorial office is located in Quito, and it is currently published simultaneously in Guayaquil in electronic format. It was created by Jaime Mantilla Anderson. During its life, Hoy earned a reputation for openness to all political views in the Ecuadorian press.

Since then, the Mitre and San Martín line are operated by State-owned company Operadora Ferroviaria Sociedad del Estado (SOFSE).

The company shares its name with the previous national operator which was broken up during the privatisation process, and also uses a modified version of its original logo.
