Sakis Rouvas Greek recording artist

Anastasios "Sakis" Rouvas, also known mononymously as Sakis, is a Greek singer, film and television actor, businessman and former pole vaulter and model. Born in Corfu, he won medals on the national athletics team during the 1980s. Rouvas began a musical career in 1991 as one of Greece's first dance-pop performers. His tenor vocals, complex choreography, costumes, and technological advancements have been credited with transforming music videos and live performances. Blood on the Land is a 1966 Greek western drama film directed by Vasilis Georgiadis. Its subject is conflict between landowners and agricultural workers in Thessaly in the early 20th century. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

She is an activist, promoting human diversity, guide dog access, physical and electronic accessibility and animal rights.

From the snow is a Greek drama film directed by Sotiris Goritsas. The film released in 1993 and stars Gerasimos Skiadaresis. The film won the Golden Alexander award in Thessaloniki Film Festival and the Best Movie Award in Greek State Film Awards.

Anna Rezan Greek actress and musician (born 1992)

Anna Rezan is a Greek actress, model, musician, and filmmaker. Rezan began her career in her early teens by appearing in Greek films and television series, most notably co-starring in the 2008 TV drama Farewell Anatolia and starring in the 2010 comedy film ShowBitch that premiered at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival.

Giorgos Katakouzinos was a Greek film director and screenwriter. He was born in Alexandria, Egypt on January 1, 1943 and died in Athens on August 13, 2013. He is mostly known for his film Angelos, a film shot in 1982, which dealt with the topic of homosexuality. The film was inspired by a real event that happened a few years earlier. The film is considered pretty daring for the early 1980s, because homosexuality was social stigma in conservative Greek society of those times. The film won three awards in Thessaloniki film festival among them the best film award. The second film Apousies (Absences) deals with a Greek bourgeois family in the early 20th century and won accolades in Valencia International Film Festival. His third film Zoe was also inspired by a real crime that had shocked Greek society in the late 1980s. He had also worked in Greek television.

<i>Black Field</i> (2009 Greek film) Greek film

Black Field is a Greek film, directed by Vardis Marinakis. The film released in 2009 and it stars Sofia Georgovassili and Christos Passalis. It won one award in Hellenic Film Academy Awards in category Best Cinematography. The film also won accolades in Mumbai International Film Festival and Seville European Film Festival. The film is shot in the places of Epirus and Thessaly.

<i>Star Academy</i> (Greek TV series)

Star Academy is a Greek reality TV show, and a licensed version of Endemol's Star Academy. The series began on March 17, 2017 on the E Channel network and was completed on July 15, 2017. The Judges were Anna Vissi, Petros Kostopoulos, Nikos Mouratides, Nikos Karvelas and Natalia Germanou. A day prior the show's premiere, a program called Star Academy Kick off Live aired, which took place in the academy, the house of the contestants, and was presented by Katerina Kainourgiou and Themis Malis. There, three boys would sing live and people would vote their favourite; the boy with the most votes, would be the 16th contestant of the show. The show was renamed from the fifth live episode to Super Star Academy, due to Epsilon TV owing money to Endemol, the worldwide franchise's production company, which therefore prohibited the station from airing the show under its brand name.
