Jaggesh, born on 17 March 1963, is an Indian politician, actor, director and producer, who works in the Kannada film industry. He is a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha from Karnataka since 2022 and the spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka.
Atlanta Nagendra is a screenwriter and director. His first film as a producer was Jokefalls. Nagendra is a software engineer turned film maker based in Atlanta, United States. Besides an engineering degree in computer-science, Nagendra has completed film making courses with emphasis on screenwriting, editing and direction.
Kariya is a 2003 Indian Kannada-language gangster film written and directed by Prem, starring Darshan and Abinayasri. It narrates the tragic story of a homeless assassin-for-hire Kariya, who falls for Maya, a well educated and rich dancer. Although she tries to convey her feelings, Kariya hesitantly moves away causing her to pledge that she will only reciprocate his feelings if he proclaims his love for her. Meanwhile, a few local thugs try to entrap Kariya and seek vengeance for the death of their friend.
Annavru is a 2003 Indian Kannada-language crime drama film directed by Om Prakash Rao starring Ambareesh and Darshan with Kaniha, Suhasini and Sumihtra in supporting roles. The film is a remake of Mani Ratnam's Tamil film Thalapathi. The film released to positive reviews and was a box office success.
Dhruva is a 2002 Kannada action drama film directed and co-written by M. S. Ramesh along with R. Rajashekar. The film features Darshan and Sherin in the lead roles whilst Om Puri plays an important role.
Excuse Me is a 2003 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film starring Sunil Raoh, Ramya and Ajay Rao in the lead roles. The film is directed by Prem of the blockbuster Kariya fame. The music was composed by R. P. Patnaik. The film was praised for its interesting storyline and its music.
Khushi is a 2003 Indian Kannada romance film starring Vijay Raghavendra, Tarun Chandra, Harish Prabhath and Sindhu Menon in the lead roles along with Ananth Nag, Madhuri Bhattacharya, Chaitra Hallikeri and Avinash in other prominent roles. The film is directed by the debutant film maker Prakash. The score and soundtrack was by Gurukiran. The film was a box office success and ran for fifty days.
Katthegalu Saar Katthegalu is a 2003 Indian Kannada-language comedy film directed by Rajendra Singh Babu. The film stars Ramesh Aravind, S. Narayan, Komal Kumar, Meghana Naidu and Urvashi. This is the third film in the "Saar" series directed by Babu and was released on 28 March 2003 and received generally positive reviews from the critics.
Monalisa is a 2004 Indian Kannada-language romance film written and directed by Indrajit Lankesh. The film stars Dhyan and Sadha in lead roles and prominent actors such as Darshan and Rekha Vedavyas have done cameo appearances. The film's storyline is inspired by Parthiban Kanavu (2003).
Vaastu Prakaara is a 2015 Indian Kannada language satirical comedy film directed by Yogaraj Bhat starring Rakshit Shetty, Jaggesh, Aishani Shetty and Parul Yadav. The supporting cast features Anant Nag, Sudha Rani, T. N. Seetharam and Sudha Belawadi. The film deals in the belief of Indians in astrology and superstition and how it is being blindly followed and overlooked over science.
Darshan is an Indian actor and film producer known for his work in Kannada cinema. He is the son of actor Thoogudeepa Srinivas. Darshan initially worked in trivial roles in few films and television serial's, later made his debut in a lead role in 2001 film, Majestic, and has since then starred in many commercial and critical hit films such as Kariya (2003), Namma Preethiya Ramu (2003), Kalasipalya (2005), Gaja (2008), Saarathi (2011), Chingari (2012) Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna (2012), Bulbul (2013), Ambareesha (2014), Mr. Airavata (2015), Tarak (2017), Yajamana (2019) and Kurukshetra (2019). He has also given his voice for the introduction of Ramadhanya.
Ninagoskara is a 2002 Indian Kannada-language comedy film directed by Yogish Hunsur, starring Darshan, Naveen Mayur, Bhavna Pani and Ruchita Prasad. The plot is taken from the English movie of 1997, Addicted To Love, starring Meg Ryan.
Kasu Iddone Basu is a 2003 Indian Kannada comedy film starring Jaggesh and his younger brother Komal opposite Radhika Chaudhari in the lead roles with an ensemble supporting cast including Doddanna, Bank Janardhan, Chitra Shenoy, A. R. Babu, Sridevi, Mandeep Roy and M. S. Karanth. The film directed by A. R. Babu has musical score by V. Manohar. It marked the second collaboration between Jaggesh and N. Kumar after Yaardo Duddu Yellammana Jathre released in the same year. Kasu Iddone Basu was released on 29 August 2003.
Makeup is a 2002 Indian Kannada-language comedy film directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and starring Jaggesh in dual getups and Laila Patel. It was released on 8 November 2002.
Siddu is a 2005 Indian Kannada-language action drama film directed by Mahesh Sukhadhare and starring Murali and Deepu. This film is about the land mafia in Bangalore. The film was a box office failure. The film is inspired by the German film Run Lola Run (1998).
Jodi (transl. Couple) is a 2001 Indian Kannada-language romantic comedy film directed by Kishore Sarja, starring Shiva Rajkumar, Jaggesh and Poonam Singar with Mukhyamantri Chandru, Doddanna and Sadhu Kokila portraying supporting roles. The film's soundtrack was composed by S. A. Rajkumar. It was released on 7 December 2001. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Darling Darling (2000) and was a box office failure.
Mr. Bakra is a 2005 Indian Kannada-language comedy film directed by Vasanth starring Jaggesh and Rohini. This is Jaggesh's 101st film and released to mixed reviews.
