The first Senior Advocate of Nigeria from Kebbi State and former Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Former Supervising Minister, Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity having served from 2013- 2015 and 2014 - 2015. The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is a public research university located in Lagos, Nigeria, which was founded in 1962. Christopher Adebayo Ojo, SAN is a former Attorney General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. As such, he is also a past head of the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Justice. He is a legal practitioner and is licensed to practise in Nigeria, England and Wales. He is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
Chief Frederick Rotimi Alade Williams, QC, SAN was a prominent Nigerian lawyer who was the first Nigerian to become a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. The Attorney General of Lagos State also known as Lagos State Commissioner for Justice is the head of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice. The officer's duty is to ensure that "the laws of the state are uniformly and adequately enforced". The Attorney General carries out the responsibilities of the office through the Ministry of Justice. The Attorney General is appointed to a four-years term, with a maximum of two terms, by the Governor subject to the approval of the State House of Assembly. The incumbent Attorney General is Moyosore Onigbanjo appointed on 22 August 2019.
