The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Peru to the Republic of Costa Rica is the official representative of the Republic of Peru to the Republic of Costa Rica.
Both countries established relations during the Filibuster War and have maintained them since. [1] Until the 1930s, the representative in Costa Rica was also accredited to other countries in Central America. [2]

Dr. José Alvarado-Sánchez, Embajador del Perú en Costa Rica. Cursó estudios superiores en la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos de Lima, en la que obtuvo grados en Letras y en Derecho; entre ellos el de Doctor en Literatura. Actualmente es profesor principal en el Departamento de Humanidades de San Marcos, ejerciendo las cátedras de Literatura Americana y Literatura Anglo-americana en la sección doctoral de ese departamento.
