List of footballers in Scotland by number of league goals

The following is a list of footballers who have scored at least 200 domestic league goals in Scottish league football. This includes the appearances and goals of former players, in the following domestic league competitions only:

Due to the close connections between English and Scottish football, several players have played for clubs in Scotland and in the English Football League and/or Premier League and amassed over 200 goals across the two systems, including David McLean (over 160 goals in both), Joe Baker (over 140 in both), Neil Martin (over 110 in both) and Kenny Dalglish (over 110 in both).

Jimmy McGrory Scottish footballer (1904–1982)

James Edward McGrory was a Scottish footballer who played for Celtic and Clydebank as a forward and then went on to manage Kilmarnock before returning to Celtic as manager after the end of the Second World War.

William Esplin Ormond was a Scottish football player and manager. As a player, Ormond was well known as one of Hibernian's Famous Five forward line, winning three league championships in the late 1940s and early 1950s. After a successful spell managing St Johnstone he led Scotland to the 1974 World Cup finals. Scotland were unbeaten at that World Cup, but were eliminated on goal difference.

William Henderson is a Scottish retired footballer. He played most of his career for Rangers, and spent the latter part of his career with Sheffield Wednesday, in Hong Kong with Hong Kong Rangers and with Airdrieonians. He also featured at international level for Scotland.

Willie Stevenson Scottish footballer and manager

William Stevenson is a Scottish former professional football player and manager. He played for Rangers, Liverpool, Stoke City, Tranmere Rovers and the Vancouver Whitecaps.

James Alexander Douglas Wardhaugh was a Scottish professional footballer, most fondly remembered as part of the Terrible Trio Heart of Midlothian forward line of the 1950s, alongside Willie Bauld and Alfie Conn. He was also the club's record League goal-scorer for almost 40 years, until his tally of 206 was surpassed by John Robertson in 1997.

Joe McBride was a Scottish footballer who played for clubs including Celtic, Hibernian, Motherwell and Dunfermline Athletic. He was a prolific striker and has the third highest tally of goals in the Scottish league since football resumed after the Second World War. McBride also represented both Scotland and the Scottish League.

William Fagan was a Scottish footballer, who played for Celtic, Preston North End and Liverpool.

James McStay was a Scottish football player and manager. He spent most of his career at Celtic, and was a captain and manager for the club.

Derek James Parlane is a Scottish former professional football striker who played for Rangers from 1970 until 1980, and also played in England with clubs including Leeds United and Manchester City.

Peter McCloy is a Scottish retired football goalkeeper who played for Motherwell and Rangers. He was a member of the team which won the European Cup Winners Cup in 1972, and was Rangers' first-choice goalkeeper for most of his 16-year spell at the club despite competition from players such as Gerhardt Neef, Stewart Kennedy and Jim Stewart.

Alexander Silcock Scott was a Scottish footballer who played as a right winger.

John Miller "Ian" McColl was a Scottish football player and manager. McColl played as a defender for Queen's Park and Rangers, while he also represented both the Scotland national team and the Scottish League. After retiring as a player, he managed the Scotland national team and English club Sunderland.

Ronnie McKinnon Scottish footballer

Ronald McKinnon is a Scottish former professional footballer, who played for Rangers and the Scotland national team.

William Findlay was a Scottish football player who played as an inside right.

William Moir was a Scottish footballer who played for the majority of his career at Bolton Wanderers. He played mostly as an inside-right.

James McColl was a Scottish footballer who played for Celtic, Hibernian and Stoke. McColl scored over 250 goals in the Scottish Football League, and was top scorer in the 1915–16 season with Celtic.

William Dowling McIntosh was a Scottish footballer who played in his native land for St Johnstone, and in England for Blackpool, Preston North End, Stoke City and Walsall.
