The Daren Sammy Cricket Ground, previously the Beausejour Cricket Ground, is a cricket ground located near Gros Islet, Saint Lucia standard seating capacity of 15,000. It was completed in 2002 and currently accommodates 13,000 spectators. Marvan Atapattu of Sri Lanka scored the first century while Brian Lara scored the first double-century on this ground in its inaugural Test match. Lara's innings of 209 is the highest score on the ground and the only double-century scored on the ground. India's Virender Sehwag has the highest score for a non-West Indies batsmen at the ground. A total of 17 centuries have been scored so far at the venue. Shivnarine Chanderpaul scored the first ODI century on the ground in 2002. England's Marcus Trescothick scored the first century by non-West Indies batsmen which is also the highest score on the ground. A total of seven ODI centuries have been scored on the ground. As of 8 September 2019, only one T20I century has been scored at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground when Suresh Raina of India scored his only T20I century during the 2010 ICC World Twenty20.
