Puerto Vallarta is a Mexican beach resort city on the Pacific Ocean's Bahía de Banderas in the Mexican state of Jalisco. Puerto Vallarta is the second largest urban agglomeration in the state after the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area. The City of Puerto Vallarta is the government seat of the Municipality of Puerto Vallarta, which comprises the city as well as population centers outside of the city extending from Boca de Tomatlán to the Nayarit border. The city is located at 20°40′N105°16′W. The municipality has an area of 681 square kilometres (262.9 sq mi). To the north, it borders the southwest of the state of Nayarit. To the east, it borders the municipality of Mascota and San Sebastián del Oeste, and to the south, it borders the municipalities of Talpa de Allende and Cabo Corrientes.
Bahía de Banderas is a bay on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, within the Mexican states of Jalisco and Nayarit. It is also the name of an administrative municipality, located on the bay in Nayarit state. The port and resort city of Puerto Vallarta is on the bay.
Compostela is the name of both a municipality and of a town in it that serves as the seat; both are in the Mexican state of Nayarit. The municipality had 62,925 in a total area of 1,848 km². The town and its municipal seat had a population of 15,991 in 2000.

Zapotiltic is a town and municipality in the south region of the state of Jalisco, Mexico. It is located approximately 115 km south of Guadalajara. According to the "Conteo de Poblacion y Vivienda of 2015" the municipality had a population of 29,190.
Jocotepec is a town and municipality, in Jalisco in central-western Mexico. The municipality covers an area of 324.3 km². As of 2005, the municipality had a total population of 37,972.
Tlajomulco de Zúñiga is the municipal seat and third most populous city in the municipality of the same name, located in the state of Jalisco in central-western Mexico. It forms part of the Guadalajara metropolitan area, lying to the southeast of it. The municipality covers an area of 636.93 km2. As of 2010 it had a population of 416,626, with a total urban population of 378,965.
Emilio Álvarez Icaza Longoria is a Mexican human rights ombudsman and activist serving as a senator in the LXIV Legislature of the Mexican Congress from Mexico City. He previously served as the president of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.
Carlos Molina Rodríguez is a Puerto Rican politician and the former mayor of Arecibo. Molina is affiliated with the New Progressive Party (PNP) and served as mayor from 2013 until 2021. Previously, He studied primary and higher in the public schools of the town of Arecibo. While he worked as official in custody of the Puerto Rico Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, he started and completed his degree of Bachelor in Criminal Justice at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, where he was President of the Student Council prime of the institution. Molina served as Secretary of the Puerto Rico Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation from 2009 to 2011, under Governor Luis Fortuño.

The season started on 20 May with the series between Sultanes de Monterrey and Acereros de Monclova and ended on 15 September with the last game of the Serie del Rey, where Toros de Tijuana defeated Leones de Yucatán to win the championship.
A bronze statue of Lázaro Cárdenas is installed in Puerto Vallarta's Lázaro Cárdenas Park, in the Mexican state of Jalisco. It was created by a group of students from the University of Michoacán and it was unveiled in 1970. As part of a municipal rehabilitation program, the statue was restored in 2020 and authorities decided to rotate it 180°.
Panteón 5 de Diciembre is a cemetery in Puerto Vallarta, in the Mexican state of Jalisco.
The Iglesia de la Santa Cruz is a parish church in Zona Romántica, Puerto Vallarta, in the Mexican state of Jalisco. It is dedicated to the holy cross, whose feast is on 3 May with a celebration named Fiesta de las Cruces. The holy cross is also the patron saint of the masons, who go on pilgrimage to the church on that day. The construction started in 1954.
