Channel 9 is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable television channel owned by Virgo Media Limited. Based in the Panthapath neighborhood of Dhaka, the channel began broadcasting on 30 January 2012. The channel airs sports and entertainment programming, and formerly aired news until the closure of its news division in 2019. It had the rights to broadcast the Bangladesh Premier League and La Liga.

He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2019 by the Government of Bangladesh.

Khan Asifur Rahman Agoon, known as Agun is a Bangladeshi musician. The son of actor Khan Ataur Rahman and singer Nilufar Yasmin, he is notable for songs like "Baba Bole Chhele Nam Korbe", "Amar Shopno Gulo" and "O Amar Bondhu Go".

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Duronto TV</span> Bengali-language childrens channel

Duronto TV is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable children's television channel, and the first of its kind in the country. It was initially licensed in 2013 as "Renaissance TV", but was later renamed to its current name. The channel began test broadcasts on 5 October 2017, and later commenced official broadcasts ten days later on 15 October 2017.

Abdul Hye Mashreki was a Bangladeshi folk litterateur and poet. He is known for his writing in the 1930s and 1940s. He mainly focused the lifestyle of the rural people of Bengal. Some notable works of him include Rakhal Bondhu, Jarina Sundari, Allah Megh De Chaya De, Fande Poriya Boga Kande Re, Amar Kakher Kolshi, He Amar Desh and Kichu Rekhe Jete Chai.

Awkat Hossain is a Bangladeshi film editor, writer and director. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Editing for the film Dui Poisar Alta (1982)

Ekhon is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable business-related infotainment television channel owned by Spice Television Limited, a subsidiary of the City Group, one of Bangladesh's largest conglomerates.

Pritom Hasan is a Bangladeshi actor, model, music director, and singer. He is known for producing, singing, and directing songs, as well as starring in music videos. He also has featured in films and shows. He has worked in the soundtrack department for several films, such as Debi, Mission Extreme, and Operation Sundarbans.
