Beschermd erfgoed is the official term to describe Flemish National Heritage Sites listed by law to protect and spread awareness of Belgian cultural heritage, specifically in Flanders. The term is also used nationwide to refer to national heritage sites. Because Belgium is officially a tri-lingual country, the other nationwide terms used in the rest of the country are the French term Bien classé and the German term Kulturdenkmal.

The Arrondissement of Arlon is one of the five administrative arrondissements in the Province of Luxembourg, Belgium. It is both an administrative and a judicial arrondissement. However, the Judicial Arrondissement of Arlon also comprises the municipalities of the Arrondissement of Virton.
Athus is a town and section of the Aubange municipality of the province of Luxembourg, in south-eastern Belgium. It is located in the far south of the country, just near the borders with France and Luxembourg. It is a French speaking city, though the traditional language is Luxembourgish. The poet and novelist Hubert Juin (1926–1987) was born in Athus.
Line 70 is a railway line connecting Luxembourg City to the south-west of Luxembourg, and on to Belgium and France. The terminus at the north-eastern end is Luxembourg railway station, whilst the terminals at the south are the French town of Longuyon and the Belgian town of Athus. It is designated, and predominantly operated, by Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois During the 2010 decade, the former line 80 have been merged with this line in order to give the newly created line between Thionville and Longwy via Esch-sur-Alzette.
Line 80 is a Luxembourgian railway line connecting Rodange to Belgium. It is designated Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois, but predominantly operated by NMBS/SNCB. The services overlap with those designated as Line 70. On the Belgian side of the border the routes are numbered in the NMBS/SNCB series.
European route E411 is a European route in Belgium and France connecting Brussels to Metz, a town at the border between Belgium, France and Luxembourg via Namur and Arlon. The E411 starts in the municipality of Auderghem along the Beaulieu metro station, crosses the municipality on a viaduct, then crosses the Brussels Ring and leaves Auderghem to enter Flanders in Overijse. When it leaves Overijse, the route enters Wallonia in Rixensart. It has an interchange with European route E42 near Namur and with European route E25 near Neufchâteau. At this point and up to Arlon, the two routes use the same road. In Arlon, route E411 continues to Aubange in Belgium, Longwy in France and on to Metz where it connects to the A31-E25 near Uckange.
