This list of tallest buildings in Chihuahua ranks skyscrapers in Mexico, city of Chihuahua, Chihuahua by height. The tallest structure in the city is the tronera avalos, which rises 430 feet (131 m), in avalos district. The tallest building in Chihuahua is the cenit tower, which rises 291 feet (89 m) in Chihuahua juventud and was completed in 2012. In Downtown Chihuahua is the second tallest building the legislature building which rises 288 feet (88 m) and was completed in 1973 becoming one of tallest building in the country.
A skyscraper is a continuously habitable high-rise building that has over 40 floors and is taller than approximately 150 m (492 ft). Historically, the term first referred to buildings with 10 to 20 floors in the 1880s. The definition shifted with advancing construction technology during the 20th century. Skyscrapers may host commercial offices or residential space, or both. Chihuahua, officially the Free and Sovereign State of Chihuahua, is one of the 31 states of Mexico. It is located in Northwestern Mexico and is bordered by the states of Sonora to the west, Sinaloa to the southwest, Durango to the south, and Coahuila to the east. To the north and northeast, it has a long border with the U.S. adjacent to the U.S. states of New Mexico and Texas. Its capital city is Chihuahua City.
