The Tashkent Television Tower is a 375-metre-high (1,230 ft) tower, located in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and is the twelfth tallest tower in the world. Construction started in 1978. The tower began operating six years later, on 15 January 1985. It was the fourth tallest tower in the world from 1985 to 1991. The decision to construct the tower was made on 1 September 1971 in order to spread TV and radio signals to all over Uzbekistan. It is a vertical cantilever structure, and is constructed out of steel. Its architectural design is a product of the Terkhiev, Tsarukov & Semashko firm.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Central Asian Union</span> Intergovernmental organisation for economic integration

The Central Asian Union (CAU), later called the Central Asian Economic Union, was an intergovernmental organization for economic integration between the Central Asian post-Soviet republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan between 1994 and 2004. Tajikistan joined the Union in 1996 as an observer. Several proposals to restore the Union have been put forward since its dissolution.

Abu Dhabi Plaza is a mixed-use development complex in the very center of Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. As of 2022, the tallest tower of Abu Dhabi Plaza at 320 metres (1,050 ft) is the tallest building in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Emerald Towers</span> Tower complex in Astana, Kazakhstan

Emerald Towers is a building complex consisting of three office towers of 54, 43 and 37 floors in Astana, Kazakhstan. They were the tallest building in Astana until the completion of the Abu Dhabi Plaza. The building is mostly used as a business centre with office spaces, gym and food zones. The construction of Emerald Towers was completed in 2010.
