The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) is the public broadcaster in South Africa, and provides 19 radio stations (AM/FM) as well as six television broadcasts to the general public. [1] It is one of the largest of South Africa's state-owned enterprises.

Noot vir Noot is an Afrikaans language musical quiz show broadcast on SABC 2 on South African television. It is the longest continually running television game show in the country. The show was first broadcast in 1991 and was presented by Johan Stemmet, who retired on 27 January 2019. The production company, which also owns the format, is Stemmburg Television, named after its founders, Stemmet, and former musical leader Johan van Rensburg.

Munghana Lonene FM South African radio station

Munghana Lonene FM is geared to listeners who understand Xitsonga. Munghana Lonene FM is branded as an "infotainment" radio station with a 50% split of music and talk. Soweto Community Television is a South African community television channel broadcasting in the biggest township in South Africa, Soweto. The channel is free-to-air in Gauteng Province and it also broadcast to South African subscribers on the DStv pay TV service on channel 251 and Starsat on channel 488.

Tropika Island of Treasure is a South African reality competition television series that currently screens on SABC 3. The show features an equal number of South African celebrities and public contestants competing in a luxurious, paradise-island location for a cash prize. Each episode the players compete in an Island Game. Each week's Island Game winner listens to the other players pleas to stay on the island, and they alone have the power to decide who stays and who goes by uttering the words "Pack your bags and get off my Island". The final Island Game winner receives a prize of R1 million. The format is owned and produced by Stimulii Licensing and broadcast on SABC3.

Katch It With Khanyi was a South African television talk show produced by Endemol Africa and hosted by Khanyi Mbau where she interviewed South African celebrities, including politicians, footballers and artists.

Khanyi Mbau South African singer-songwriter a and Actress

Khanyisile Mbau, known professionally as Khanyi Mbau, is a South African actress, television host and artist. Raised in Soweto, Mbau rose to widespread prominence and became a household name as the second Doobsie in the SABC 2 soap opera Muvhango (2004-2005); as Mbali in the SABC 1 soap opera Mzansi and SABC 1's mini-series After Nine. As of 2018, she is the host of the SABC 3 entertainment show The Scoop, The Big Secret on BET Africa and plays Tshidi on Mzansi Magic's Abomama.

The 25th Annual South African Music Awards ceremony was held at the Sun City Arena in North West on June 1, 2019. It aired live on SABC 1. The show was hosted by Bob Mabena, Melanie Bala, Twasa Seoke and hip-hop star Khuli Chana.

SABC Education is a South African educational television channel owned by the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC).
