MV Seabourn Odyssey is a cruise ship for Seabourn Cruise Line. The ship's keel was laid at the CIMAR Shipyard in on 15 July 2007. Its hull was the first one built at the brand new shipyard. [2] [3] Seabourn Odyssey was outfitted at the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy. When it was commissioned in 2009, it was the first new ship for Seabourn in over a decade. The ship was completed in May 2009, a few weeks earlier than planned. The ship undertook sea trials on 22 May 2009 and the naming ceremony took place in Venice, Italy on 24 June 2009. [4] [5] Seabourn Odyssey was delivered by T. Mariotti on 29 June 2009 and was reported to have cost 550 million euros. [6]
A sister ship, Seabourn Sojourn, was launched in 2010. [2]
In June 2017, Seabourn Odyssey completed a five day interior refit by Trimline. [7] Staterooms, restrooms and a restaurant were refreshed.
In July 2019 the ship completed another refit, billed as a "technology and design update". [8] The ship was drydocked in Genoa for ten days, allowing the contractor to refit public areas as well as some suites. [9]
In March 2023, it was announced the ship was sold to Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) and would complete all published itineraries through August 2024 and the ship would be turned over after. [10] under the brand Mitsui Ocean Cruises. [11] The first cruises were cancelled in May 2024. [12] [13]
The last cruise of the ship under the Seabourn line began on 2 September 2024. [14] [15] [16] The ship arrived at Yokohama, its final farewell cruise destination, on 26 September 2024. [17] Afterwards, it was handed over to the new owner. [18] [19] [20]
On 24 June 2008, Seabourn announced that they had appointed Captain Karlo Buer to be the ship's commander. [21] The ship sailed on her first trip with guests on 25 June 2009, the day after her naming ceremony. [22] The maiden voyage was a 14-night cruise to Istanbul. [23] Its first season was spent in the Mediterranean Sea.
The ship's maiden World Cruise begun on 5 January 2010 and was scheduled to visit 42 ports over 108 days. [24]
The ship includes 11 decks with two swimming pools, six outdoor whirlpools, a spa and a marina. The Retreat features a nine-hole mini golf course, a giant chess board and shuffleboard. [25] Onboard are four restaurants. At the time of its launch, Seabourn claimed that the ship had "the largest spa on any luxury vessel at 11,400 square feet" and one of the highest ratios of space onboard per guest.

Windstar Cruises is a cruise line that operates a fleet of small luxury cruise ships. Its six yachts carry just 148 to 310 guests and cruise to 50 nations, calling at 150 ports throughout Europe, the South Pacific, the Caribbean, and Central America. In May 2014, Windstar added to its sailing yachts by adding the Star Pride power yacht, followed by Star Breeze and Star Legend in May 2015. The additional capacity opened up new itineraries such as voyages to Iceland, the Panama Canal, and Costa Rica and allowed Windstar Cruises to sail Tahiti year round.

Celestyal Discovery is a cruise ship, built in 2003 by the German shipyard Aker MTW in Wismar, and was operated by AIDA Cruises for twenty years as AidaAura, as was her sister ship AIDAvita. In November 2023 the ship was sold to the Greek cruise line Celestyal Cruises and entered service in March 2024.
Costa Victoria was a Victoria-class cruise ship launched in 1995 and operated by Costa Cruises, a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & plc, from 1996 until 2020. Built at Bremen, Germany, she was designed to reflect the spirit of Italy, which was enhanced in a 2013 refit. During her service with Costa she operated in many areas, including Asia. In June 2020, in light of the economic impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Costa Victoria was moved to the Port of Piombino, Italy and decommissioned. She was sold in December 2020 for possible conversion to worker's accommodation at a Genoa shipyard, but resold for demolition in Turkey, where she arrived on 28 January 2021.
Margaritaville at Sea Paradise is a cruise ship owned by Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line and operating for Margaritaville at Sea. The ship was built in 1991 in Italy for Costa Cruises as Costa Classica. In 2000, a planned lengthening and refit was cancelled at the last moment. She was renamed Costa neoClassica in 2014, then left Costa fleet in 2018 when sold to Bahamas Paradise as Grand Classica. Since May 2022, the ship has been sailing as Margaritaville at Sea Paradise, after the cruise line announced a partnership with Margaritaville Resorts & Hotels.

Star Pride was the first of three German built cruise ships that were initially built for the Seabourn Cruise Line. She was known as Seabourn Pride and is now operated for Windstar Cruises and was the first of her class.

Carnival Luminosa is a cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line. Originally built as the Costa Luminosa, the ship entered service on 5 May 2009. Her design is a hybrid, using elements of Spirit-class and Vista-class. A sister ship, Costa Deliziosa, was launched in February 2010 and is based on the same design. Costa Luminosa departed Civitavecchia, Italy on 3 June 2009, on her 13-night maiden voyage, with ports of call in Savona, Saint-Tropez, Barcelona, Lisbon, Le Havre and Amsterdam.
Seabourn Sojourn is a luxury cruise ship chartered and operated by Seabourn Cruise Line. It is very similar to Seabourn Odyssey. The ship was ordered for building in the shipyard of T. Mariotti S.p.A. in Genoa Italy. She is the flagship of Seabourn.

Seabourn Venture is an ultra-luxury expedition cruise ship operated by Seabourn Cruise Line. The ship's hull was built built by the CIMAR Shipyard in San Giorgio di Nogaro and outfitted at T. Mariotti in Genoa. Its keel was laid in December 2019 and in March 2021 the hull was towed to Genoa to be completed. Sea trials began in April 2022 and the ship was delivered to Seabourn Cruise Line on 28 June 2022 in Genoa. It is Carnival Corporation's first expedition cruise ship.
The CI.MAR Shipyard (Cimolai-Mariotti) is a shipbuilder based in San Giorgio di Nogaro, Udine, Italy. It is a joint venture between T. Mariotti and Cimolai. The ship's hulls are built at the CIMAR Shipyard and then towed to T. Mariotti's shipyard in Genoa to be completed. The journey to Genoa usually takes around ten days. Often the hulls are floated down the Corno River on a smaller barge, due to the narrowness of the river.
