Magnus Andersson (born 27 April 1981) is a retired Swedish footballer who played as a defender and current assistant manager of Trelleborgs FF. [1]
Andersson started his career in Hillerstorps GoIF alongside Patrik Ingelsten. In 2001, he moved to IFK Värnamo, but only stayed for 1 season before following manager Jonas Thern to Halmstads BK. Andersson was mainly used as a substitute until the 2005 season, however an ACL injury destroyed his season, and he returned only to obtain the same injury during the 2006 season.
In 2007, he left Halmstads BK for Trelleborgs FF where he played until he retired in 2017. He continued at the club as assistant manager, after having already been a part of the club's coaching staff since 2015. [2] He came out of retirement on 22 April 2018, due to injuries in the squad, playing the whole game as Trelleborg lost 0–1 to Kalmar FF on home ground. [1] Andersson played two games further in the 2018 season.

The 2011 Allsvenskan, part of the 2011 Swedish football season, was the 87th season of Allsvenskan since its establishment in 1924. The preliminary 2011 fixtures were released on 15 December 2010. The season began on 2 April 2011 and ended on 23 October 2011. Malmö FF were the defending champions, having won their 16th Swedish championship and their 19th Allsvenskan title the previous season.
The 2011 season was Malmö FF's 100th in existence, their 76th season in Allsvenskan and their 11th consecutive season in the league. They competed in Allsvenskan, where they finished in 4th position, Svenska Cupen, where they were knocked out in the quarter-finals, Svenska Supercupen, where they finished as runners-up, the UEFA Champions League, where they were knocked out in the play-off round and finally the UEFA Europa League, where they were knocked out in the group stage. Malmö FF were the reigning champions of Allsvenskan and also returned to European cup play after a five-year absence. Manager Roland Nilsson left the club on 29 May to become the new manager for F.C. Copenhagen, he was replaced by Rikard Norling who officially became the new Malmö FF manager on 3 June.
Malmö FF were seriously involved in the 1997 chase for the Allsvenskan title, but fell short due to dropped points against bottom teams Degerfors and Öster in the 24th and 25th rounds out of 26. Having been unbeaten at home all season, playing decent possession football, the economic woes of the club forced them to sell Daniel Andersson and Yksel Osmanovski to Bari of Serie A the coming summer.
