Marios Ogkmpoe [2] [lower-alpha 1] (born 10 October 1994) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a striker for Emirati club Dibba Al Fujairah.

Career

Born in Athens, [1] Ogkmpoe began playing youth football with Nea Ionia, making his senior club debut at the age of 15, playing in the Delta and later the Gamma Ethniki, the 4th and 3rd tier of the Greek football league system respectively. [3] In the summer of 2015 he moved to Gamma Ethniki club Fostiras, before signing for OFI on a free transfer in the summer of 2016. [3]

After spending one-and-a-half seasons with OFI, [1] Ogkmpoe signed a short-term deal with Scottish Premiership side Hamilton Academical on 24 January 2018, [4] making his debut that same day, in a league match against Heart of Midlothian. [5]

In March 2020 he signed a contract extension with Hamilton until 2021. [6] On 19 May 2021 it was announced that he would leave Hamilton at the end of the season, following the expiry of his contract. [7]

In July 2021 he signed for AEL. [8] He scored his first goal on 14 November 2021 on his debut league appearance against home rivals Apollon Larissa. [9] On 11 December 2021, he scored two goals against Apollon Pontou, [10] and on 29 December 2021 he scored his first hat-trick against Xanthi, reaching 6 league goals by the end of 2021. [11]

After leaving the club in February 2024, he signed for Emirati club Dibba Al Fujairah. [12]

The 2020–21 season was the 96th season in existence of Olympiacos and the club's 62nd consecutive season in the top flight of Greek football. The season was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and all Olympiacos' games were played behind closed doors. Olympiacos participated in the Greek Super League winning their 46th title, finishing 26 points ahead of PAOK who came second. Domestically the team participated in the Greek Football Cup as well. They reached the final where they lost to PAOK. Olympiacos qualified also for the UEFA Champions League group stage for a second consecutive season but failed to qualify to the knock-out phase. Having finished third in their group, they were then transferred to UEFA Europa League knockout phase. The season covers the period from 20 August 2020 to 22 May 2021.
