Mart Kadastik (born March 24, 1955) is an Estonian journalist, the Editor in chief of Estonia's largest daily Edasi/Postimees 1977 - 1998, and executive director and Chairman of the Board of Eesti Meedia since 1998, [1] the media group in Estonia controlling about one third of the national press market. [2]

Estonia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Their entry was selected through Eesti Laul 2014, a national final format that consisted of two semi-finals and a final, organised by the Estonian broadcaster Eesti Rahvusringhääling (ERR). Ten songs competed in each semi-final and the top five from each semi-final as determined by a jury panel and public vote qualified to the final. In the final, the winner was selected over two rounds of voting. In the first round, a jury panel and a public vote selected the top three to qualify to the super final. In the super final, "Verona" performed by Koit Toome and Laura was selected as the winner entirely by a public vote.

Dan Põldroos was an Estonian stage, television and film actor who began performing on stage at age fifteen. Although mostly known for comedic roles, he was also an accomplished dramatic actor. Põldroos' career ended at age thirty-seven when he died unexpectedly.
