Martin Klyne (born March 6,1957) is a Canadian senator and former corporate executive. Klyne was appointed to the Senate of Canada in September 2018. [1] He is a Cree Métis citizen. After obtaining his degree from the University of Regina ('86) in business administration with a major in finance,he quickly became a manager with the Mercantile Bank of Canada,currently known as Toronto-Dominion Bank,and continued his career from there.
Klyne graduated from the University of Regina with distinction with a degree in business administration,majoring in finance in 1986.
Klyne served as the chief executive officer for the centre from March 2017-August 2018. Klyne focused on the further development of the centre to continue the legacy of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
From May 2015-January 2017,Klyne was the chief operating officer for the Regina Pats Hockey Club,where he focused on the operations of the organization with the president of the hockey club,while working with John Paddock,the general manager of hockey operations.
Klyne was an instructor and sessional lecturer for the university from January 2013-May 2015. He taught many courses,ADMN 406 and ADMN 100.
During his term,Klyne managed the operations of two major newspapers in Saskatchewan. He also built one of the best operating performances for Canadian newspaper markets when compared to larger newspaper market across Canada.

James Douglas Hopson was a Canadian professional football player and executive. Chung Mong-won is a South Korean ice hockey administrator and businessman. He has served as chief executive officer of both Halla Group and Mando Corporation,founded the Anyang Halla hockey team in 1994,and co-founded Asia League Ice Hockey in 2003. Harry John Sterling was a Canadian ice hockey administrator. He was elected president of the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) in 1920,after serving as an Ontario Hockey Association executive and as president of the Thunder Bay Amateur Hockey Association. He declared that the CAHA would not tolerate the hockey "tourist" after becoming suspicious of players who changed their addresses to be on a new team. His investigation into registrations led to the suspension of a team from Saskatoon when it was discovered that players who won the gold medal representing Canada in ice hockey at the 1920 Summer Olympics were being paid for amateur hockey. His term as president resulted in the CAHA enacting stricter rules for registration and co-operation with the Amateur Athletic Union of Canada to investigate into all Canadian hockey players to maintain amateurism.
Dave Dryburgh was a Scotland-born Canadian sports journalist. A native of Kirkcaldy and an immigrant to Regina,he reported on the soccer games in which he played for The Leader-Post. As the newspaper's sports editor from 1932 to 1948,he primarily covered Canadian football and the Regina Roughriders,and ice hockey in Western Canada. His columns "Sport Byways" and "Dryburgh" give a first-hand account of sporting events,and were read widely in Western Canada. As the secretary of the Saskatchewan Amateur Hockey Association during the 1930s and 1940s,he established its registration system including the history of each player. He also served as the official statistician for baseball,softball and hockey leagues in Saskatchewan.
