This is the progression of world record improvements of the 10000 metres M45 division of Masters athletics.

Masters athletics is a class of the sport of athletics for veteran athletes in the events of track and field, road running and cross country running. The competitions feature five-year age groups beginning at age 35. Men as old as 105 and women in their 100s have competed in running, jumping and throwing events. Masters are sometimes known as veterans.

Robert ("Robbie") Ian Johnston is a former long-distance runner from New Zealand who competed twice at the Summer Olympic Games and once at the Commonwealth Games. The event was first held under its current title in 2005.
