TheMcGill Tribune is an independent campus newspaper published by the Tribune Publication Society in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The Tribune is entirely student-run since its foundation in 1981, and has a good reputation for unbiased and trustworthy reporting. The Tribune covers a variety of different subjects, including but not limited to News, Opinion, Student Life & Features, Arts & Entertainment, Science & Technology, and Sports. It has a print circulation of 5,000 between McGill's downtown and Macdonald campuses. It publishes once a week on Tuesdays in print, with additional daily content online.

In March 2010, following a student referendum, the Tribune severed its ties with the Students' Society of McGill University (SSMU), which had previously published the newspaper. [1] The newspaper is now published by the Tribune Publication Society - a non-profit, independent students' society. [2]

In April 2017, it published "It doesn't matter because it didn't happen on campus," an investigative news story by Shrinkhala Dawadi (former news editor and managing editor) and Julia Dick (then Editor-in-Chief). This story was picked up by the CBC, the Globe & Mail, and the Montreal Gazette.

<i>The Cord</i>

The Cord is a student newspaper at Wilfrid Laurier University. Founded in 1926, it features stories about current events on campus and the community as well as student life, sports, arts and opinion. The paper's website compiles all the content from the print edition as well as web-exclusive content. The Cord publishes every Wednesday of the fall and winter semester and monthly over the summer.

The University Register (UR) is the official campus newspaper of the University of Minnesota Morris, and is published bi-weekly during the academic year. It primarily serves the University of Minnesota Morris campus and the greater Morris community. The paper is entirely student-run, operating out of the basement of the school's Multi-Ethnic Resource Center, and distributes over 1,500 copies to the campus every Thursday night. <i>College Tribune</i> Student newspaper of University College Dublin

The College Tribune is a student newspaper which serves Ireland's largest third level institution, University College Dublin. It was established in 1989 with the assistance of journalist and broadcaster Vincent Browne who was attending the university as an evening student at the time. Browne noted the campus' lack of a news outlet which was independent of both the university and University College Dublin Students' Union and alongside founding editor Eamon Dillon set up the Tribune to correct this. Initially, a close working relationship was maintained between the Tribune and the Sunday Tribune which was at the time edited by Browne. This relationship afforded the paper the use of professional production facilities in its fledgling years. Ultimately however, the student newspaper would long outlast its national weekly counterpart with the Sunday Tribune having ceased publication in 2011. The College Tribune is UCD's oldest surviving newspaper having been published continuously for over 30 years. The current editor of the 35th volume of the paper is Conor Paterson.

<i>The McGill Daily</i>

The McGill Daily is an independent student newspaper at McGill University and is entirely run by students. Despite its name, the Daily has reduced its print publication to once a week, normally on Mondays, in addition to producing online-only content and weekly radio segments for CKUT 90.3 FM.

<i>The Miscellany News</i> Student newspaper of Vassar College

The Miscellany News is the student newspaper of Vassar College. Established in 1866, it is one of the oldest student newspapers in the country. The paper is distributed every Thursday evening during Vassar's academic year to locations across the College's campus, including dormitories, dining and athletic facilities, communal areas, as well as off-campus locations in the Town of Poughkeepsie. The paper accepts contributions from all members of the college community—students, administrators, faculty, staff, alumnae/i and trustees—and has a regular staff of roughly 40 to 50 student editors, reporters, photojournalists, multimedia correspondents and designers. In addition to its print publication, the staff also publishes articles, videos, and photo essays daily on its website and blogs.

<i>The Bull & Bear</i>

The Bull & Bear is a student-run magazine at McGill University. Founded in 2003, the magazine was initially conceived as a platform for the voice of students in the Desautels Faculty of Management. In 2012, the magazine widened its scope to include McGill affairs and Montreal-wide news. The Bull & Bear publishes articles online on a rolling basis, and prints one issue per semester.

<i>The Medium</i> (University of Toronto Mississauga)

The Medium is the student newspaper of the Mississauga branch of the University of Toronto. It has been in publication since 1974, when it was founded following the collapse of The Erindalian. It primarily covers UTM news, with occasional forays into University of Toronto tri-campus news and Mississauga news.
