Md. Moinul Islam, NDC, is an officer of the Bangladesh Police and the 32nd [1] Inspector General of Bangladesh Police, appointed on 6 August 2024. [2] Previously, he served as the Commandant of the Traffic and Driving School. [3] He was from 12th Bcs batch.

Moinul Islam was born in a Muslim family in Masjid Para of Panchagarh District.

Career

Moinul, 58, began his police career in Jan 1991 and has also served in police's elite force, Rapid Action Battalion.

He is the former Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division and Chief of General Staff (CGS) of the Bangladesh Army. He also served as Director General Bangladesh Rifles. He is currently the president of the Bangladesh Archery Federation.
