Megan Carter-Davies (born 1996) is a British orienteering competitor. [2] She became sprint world champion at the 2022 World Orienteering Championships. [3] This made her only the third British athlete to become world champion in an individual discipline, after Yvette Hague and Jamie Stevenson.
Carter-Davies was born in Aberystwyth, United Kingdom. She competes for the orienteering clubs Swansea Bay OC (United Kingdom) and Rajamäen Rykmentti (Finland). [4] Carter-Davies attended the University of Bristol where she studied mathematics and was the captain of the orienteering club. [1]
Carter-Davies first tried orienteering at the age of eight, joining Mid-Wales Orienteering club. She has been a member of the Welsh orienteering squad. [5]
Carter-Davies won her first medals at the World Orienteering Championships in 2022, first achieving a silver medal in the mixed sprint relay with Charlotte Ward, Ralph Street and Kris Jones. She followed this up with a silver medal in the knock-out sprint, and finally a gold medal in the sprint final, breaking Tove Alexandersson's winning streak of 11 world championship victories in a row (Alexandersson finished in sixth place). The Junior World Orienteering Championships (JWOC) are an annual orienteering competition. They were first held in 1990. Entry is open to national teams aged 20 and below as of 31 December in the year of competition. Representative countries must be members of the International Orienteering Federation (IOF).
Daniel Hubmann is a Swiss orienteering competitor, world champion in all three individual disciplines and multiple winner of the overall Orienteering World Cup. He is the brother of Martin Hubmann. Daniel also has his own fan club which is run by New Zealand Orienteer Joseph Lynch.
Maja Møller Alm is a Danish orienteering and Athletics competitor who has won seven World Championships and two World Games titles. She is especially known for her four gold medals on the sprint distance, where she has won the title four years in a row: 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. She is also a medalist from the Junior World Championships. Since 2006 she has been coached by Danish national coach Lars Lindstrøm. Alm is remarkable for her dominant running speed, which gives her a great advantage over other competitors at the sprint distance.
Ida Bobach is a Danish orienteering competitor who was Junior World Champion in 2009, and became triple Junior World Champion from 2010, when she won the sprint, long distance and the relay. She represents the club OK Pan Århus, and since 2007, has received training from Danish national coach Lars Lindstrøm. In 2015 she won gold medals at the World Championships in the long and Relay.
Tove Alexandersson is a Swedish orienteer, ski orienteer, skyrunner, trail runner and ski mountaineer. She has won a total of 19 gold medals at the World Orienteering Championships and 10 gold medals at the World Ski Orienteering Championships. In 2018, she won the Sky Marathon event at the Skyrunning World Championships, in her second skyrunning race ever. In 2021, she won the combined discipline at the World Championships of Ski Mountaineering, and in 2023 she won a silver medal in the up and down discipline at the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships. She competes for Stora Tuna OK in orienteering and Alfta-Ösa OK in ski orienteering. Alexandersson holds the record for the number of gold medals in a row at the World Orienteering Championships, winning 11 in a row between 2018 and 2022.

Kristian Jones or Kris Jones is a competitor in orienteering and athletics, competing for Great Britain. He also competes for Lillomarka OK in Norway, Forth Valley orienteers and Wales.
Karolin Ohlsson is a Swedish orienteering competitor who competes internationally. She became world champion in the sprint relay in 2018.
Emil Svensk is a Swedish orienteering competitor. He was born in Borlänge. He won a gold medal in the middle distance at the 2013 Junior World Orienteering Championships. At the 2018 European Orienteering Championships in Cadempino he won a silver medal in the mixed sprint relay with the Swedish team. He competed at the 2018 World Orienteering Championships in Latvia, where he placed sixth in the sprint final, and won a gold medal in the mixed sprint relay, together with Karolin Ohlsson, Jonas Leandersson and Tove Alexandersson. In the 2019 World Orienteering Championships in Norway he participated in the winning Swedish relay team together with Johan Runesson and Gustav Bergman. Even in the 2023 World Orienteering Championships he participated together with Albin Ridefeldt and Gustav Bergman in the Swedish relay team which won the bronze medal.
Kasper Harlem Fosser is a Norwegian orienteering competitor who represents Norwegian club IL Heming and Swedish club IFK Göteborg.
Hanna Lundberg is a Swedish orienteering competitor who represents the club OK Renen.
Alice Leake is a British orienteering competitor. She received a bronze medal in the Sprint discipline at the 2022 World Orienteering Championships, behind Megan Carter Davies and Simona Aebersold.
Eef van Dongen is a Dutch orienteering competitor. She received a bronze medal at the first ever knock-out sprint event at the 2022 World Orienteering Championships, behind Tove Alexandersson and Megan Carter Davies. On club level, van Dongen competes for both Västerviks OK and OLifant.

August Mollén is an orienteering competitor from Sweden. He won a silver medal in the 2022 World Orienteering Championships, coming second in the first ever knock-out sprint event behind Matthias Kyburz. Mollén was just one second behind Kyburz at the finish.
