Metro is an Indonesian flagship news television program that broadcasts on Metro TV. There is no single show, but instead consists of Metro Pagi Primetime (morning), Metro Siang (lunchtime), Metro Hari Ini (afternoon), Primetime News (evening), and Top News (late night).
Before January 2, 2017, the shows Metro Kini (morning) and Metro Sore (afternoon) were still aired before the date, and Metro Pagi Primetime was originally named Metro Pagi.

Prime-time, or peak-time, is the block of broadcast programming taking place during the middle of the evening for television shows. It is mostly targeted towards adults. It is used by the major television networks to broadcast their season's nightly programming. The term prime-time is often defined in terms of a fixed time period—for example, from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.. In India and some Middle Eastern countries, prime time consists of programmes that are aired on television between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. local time.
Seputar Indonesia was Indonesia's longest-running flagship newscast carried by a private television network. It debuted for the first time on the newly inaugurated RCTI on 15 November 1989 as the local news program Seputar Jakarta, as well as the network's first newscast before it evolved to go nationwide on 15 November 1990.
