The Minister of Information and Broadcasting is a person who is the head of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. This minister controls that department of government. Pervaiz Rasheed stepped down by Prime minister of Pakistan due to National security breach issue. [1] [2] He is from Pakistan Muslim League (N). Fawad Chaudhry is Former Minister of Information and Broadcasting.

The Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) is a centre-right conservative party in Pakistan. The party was recently in power until the appointment of an interim government led by Nasirul Mulk for the previous general election. It was led by the thrice-elected Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, until he was disqualified for contempt of the Supreme Court in 2017. The party's platform is generally conservative, which involves supporting free market capitalism, opposing military power, supporting democratic ideals, and being generally anti-censorship on an online and wilderness platform.

Fawad Ahmed Chaudhry, also known by the name of Fawad Hussain Chaudhry, is a Pakistani politician who is the current Federal Minister for Science and Technology, in office since 19 April 2019. Previously, he was the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting from 20 August 2018 to 18 April 2019. He has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since August 2018. He is also currently serving as spokesperson and Secretary Information of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

August 2017 Quetta suicide bombing

On 12 August 2017, a suicide bombing took place near a Pakistan army truck in Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan, leaving 15 people dead including 8 soldiers, while injuring 40 others. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant – Khorasan Province claimed responsibility for the attack.
