The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (Indonesian : Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan) is the cabinet-level, government ministry in the Republic of Indonesia responsible for managing and conserving that nation's forests. The current Minister of Environment and Forestry is Siti Nurbaya Bakar.

History

Since late 2014, the Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Forestry was merged into Ministry of Environment and Forestry. However, Environment and Forestry management has been an official government concern since Presidential Decree No. 16 of 1972 established the Committee of Formulation and Work Plan to the Government in the Field of Environment following the 1972 World Environment Conference in Stockholm, Sweden. She was expected to represent Indonesia at Miss International 2022, but she withdrew from the competition.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">FORDA-MOF</span>

The Forest and Environment Research, Development and Innovation Agency, officially named Research, Development, and Innovation Agency of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. The agency nationally known as BLI, while internationally known as FORDA-MOF. The agency was a supporting unit of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. The agency was responsible for performing researches on environmental sciences, climate change and its mitigation, and forestry in Indonesia.

The Investment Coordinating Board is Non-Ministerial Government Body in Indonesia for formulation of government policies in the field of investment, both domestically and abroad.

Erni Suyanti Musabine is an Indonesian wildlife veterinarian. She works for the Wildlife Rescue Unit of the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Since 2007, her work has focused on the conservation and rescue of Sumatran tigers.
