The Miss Alabama's Teen competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the U.S. state of Alabama in the Miss America's Teen pageant.

Contents

Jessica Baeder of Auburn, Alabama was the first contestant from Alabama to win the national title on July 29, 2017. [1]

Elaina Burt of Hoover was crowned Miss Alabama's Teen on March 12, 2023 at Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama. She will compete for the title of Miss America's Teen 2024.

In January of 2023, the official name of the pageant was changed from Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen, to Miss Alabama’s Teen, in accordance with the national pageant.

Miss America's Teen is an American scholarship pageant. It is the sister program to the Miss America Opportunity, and it aims to "promote scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America's teens." In order to be eligible to compete, participants must first compete and win at the local level and then win the state title. The competition consists of several parts of competition which consists of an eight-minute interview in front of a panel of judges, talent, lifestyle and wellness, evening wear, and an on-stage question. All competitors must be girls between the ages of 13 and 18 years of age.

Miss America 2018, the 91st Miss America pageant, though the Miss America Organization celebrated its 97th anniversary in 2017. This discrepancy is due to no national pageants being held from 1928 to 1932 or in 1934 because of financial problems associated with the Great Depression. The 2018 pageant was held in Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Sunday, September 10, 2017. This was the first Miss America pageant to be held in Atlantic City since the Miss America Organization headquarters relocated to Boardwalk Hall.
