Miss Venezuela is a Venezuelan beauty pageant operated by the Cisneros Group. Founded in 1952, it currently selects Venezuelan representatives to Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss International. The current national director of Miss Venezuela is Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler.
Miss International is a Japan-based international major beauty pageant organized by the International Culture Association. First held in 1960, it is the fourth largest pageant in the world in terms of the number of national winners participating in the international contest.

Miss Venezuela 2003 was the 50th Miss Venezuela pageant, was held in Caracas, Venezuela, on 16 October 2003. She is the second Miss Earth winner from Venezuela next to Alexandra Braun and the first Miss Earth winner from Osmel Sousa owned Miss Venezuela. Alyz is the former chairwoman of the Miss Earth Venezuela Organization.

Vespoli also represented the Monagas state in Miss Venezuela 2015 where she ended up as one of the semifinalists. Vespoli represented Venezuela in Miss Supranational 2016, obtaining the position of 1st Runner-Up.
