In the history of Miss Universe, Colón is the first woman over the age of 32 and currently the oldest woman to have been selected to compete in the pageant. She is also the fourth mother and second single mother to have been selected to participate in the pageant. Colón will represent Puerto Rico in Miss Universe 2024.
