Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2008 was the 53rd Miss Puerto Rico Universe pageant, held at the Centro de Bellas Artes in Santurce, Puerto Rico, on November 23, 2007.

The 54th Annual Miss Puerto Rico Universe pageant was held at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum on October 22, 2008, in Hato Rey section of San Juan, Puerto Rico. A record of 70 contestants competed for the crown, in which the competition was televised live by WAPA-TV. On October 11, 2008, the show entered its final stage when twelve finalists elected by the public remained.

The 52nd annual Miss Puerto Rico Universe competition was held in the fall of 2006 in Puerto Rico. Zuleyka Rivera, who won the title of Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2006 who then became Miss Universe 2006, crowned her successor, Uma Blasini of Guayanilla as Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2007.
